“The park has endless trails for mountain biking, hiking and horseback riding. There are many coves to swim in and the paddle boarding provides spectacular views!”

“Take a walk and enjoy 164 pieces of bronze sculptures in a 10-acre park. Bronze sculpture has been part of Loveland history since the early 1970s with several casting foundries popping up after 1985. There are some really interesting pieces here that strike up some good conversation or for simply soaking up beauty. ”

“Trail Ridge Road (open only in Summer) is the highest continuous paved road in the United States. If you have an SUV (can be done in car but rough roads) take Old Fall River Road to avoid the main road and see more! Unmaintained dirt road be cautious!”

“Free and very close (about a mile) to Airbnb home. This walk is enjoyable and you can go for half an hour to two hours. You can bring a picnic meal. Large variety of sculptures in a very easy walk. I find something new almost every time I go. ”

“Estes Park (15.7 Miles) - Park in the center of Estes Park. All sorts of events here with free music sometime. Some events include the famous Elk Fest, art markets, farmer markets, concerts and festivals. Park in the parking garage and take the shuttle to avoid trying to find a parking place!”

“One of the most beautiful (and busy) areas of RMNP. A base camp for many incredible trails for all hiking levels. Don't miss a visit to this spot in RMNP. From a super easy stroll around Bear Lake to many longer/more difficult hikes, this trail head will lead you to whatever hiking, fishing or wilderness adventure your group is looking for. ”

“Very nice place to hike that is pretty local. Great for people staying here that are just here for the weekend and want to hike between here and Ft. Collins.”

“Another great hiking trail, and one of the beat 14ers in Colorado. You can take this trail to the top of Longs if you want an epic, extremely arduous and very long hike, or if you want to make it a little easier you can take it to Chasm Lake at the base of Longs Peak. Both are very big, challenging days. ”

“Devil's Backbone Nature Trail is a 4.3 mile heavily trafficked out and back trail located near Loveland, Colorado that features beautiful wild flowers and is good for all skill levels. The trail offers a number of activity options and is accessible year-round. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash. Don't forget your camera! Rattle snakes have been spotted on this trail (as they have most trails in Colorado), so please keep an eye on your children and pets. ”

“ Good all around trail for the whole family. It gets crowded in the summer. Go early or late in the day. Parking is limited. ”

“This is my favorite trail in all of Estes and the RMNP! The views can not be beat. Absolutely stunning views of the Estes valley and surrounding mountains. This hike is relatively easy. It is 2 miles round trip, with a bit of elevation gain - but nothing crazy. There aren’t any more than a few step ups. Along the route to the summit, there are obvious places to stop and look out at the view. I debated whether to include this hike in my guidebook, bc this is a relatively new trail - meaning it’s still mostly uncrowded, which just makes it that much better! Definitely bring your camera on this hike! There is a $5 fee to enter Hermit Park ( owned by Larimer county, not part of RMNP ), but once you’re in there is plenty of parking available. ”
