Very peaceful stay with the most enjoyable hosts. Let's just say, it takes a enormous time to upkeep with a ZERO carbon footprint. I've never slept better. Just has to be seen.

Words do not adequately describe this wonderful home. Accommodations were spacious, spotless and beautifully decorated. The setting is so beautiful and serene. Location was perfect for exploring the Berkshires as well as relaxing. But the most special part of my stay was getting to know my hosts, Michelle and Jim (and their wonderful dogs and cat). Worthington is a very quiet, beautiful New England town; it offers tranquil walks on country roads. There are also many hiking trails in the area and a scenic local golf course, built in 1904!

This was our first experience with Airbnb. Jim and Michele have set the standard very high. They are a wonderful couple. They greeted us at the car with such an enthusiasm like we were beloved family. Breakfast was laid out each morning and the coffee was perfect. They checked on us frequently when we at the house to see if we were in need of anything. My daughter and her family, including 3 little ones, came for a couple of the nights. Jim helped them set up beds for the girls and got them settled in. My grandson came and stayed also. They set him up in the living room on a sofa bed that he said slept great. I cannot not say enough about their home. It is beautifully furnished. The view is beautiful. The whole place shouts peaceful and inviting. They are very gracious, kind, helpful, knowledgeable, delightful to talk to, and just in general wonderful hosts. Be prepared to be pampered. Thank you Jim and Michele for a wonderful stay. We will visit again when in the area.

Host was amazing, helped worked around our late arrival time and made staying there such a breeze. The carpenter house is postcard fabulous and was cleaner than any hotel I've stayed at. The house had everything you could need and is so relaxing you'll never want to leave. Wish we could have spent more time here, but there will be a next time.

The cottage is perfect for an affordable yet secluded getaway!! The pictures do not highlight just how beautiful and cozy the cottage is inside and out. There's a porch on the back of the house that faces a wooded area; we sat there all night watching the stars come out. We ate in the windowed 'Florida room' - ideal when it got buggy the night before it rained. There are pots, pans, plates, utensils, and cooking knives for use. There are even some spices available. All you need to supply is your food and cooking oil. If you forgot anything, there's a general store and market a few minute drive away. Daniel has plenty of towels of various sizes too. And there is a washer/dryer with detergent and dryer sheets in case you're in a pinch. Other homes are dispersed along the street, but we hardly heard a car pass by. You can easily walk to the lake from Daniel's place, which is another plus. Overall, it was a great experience and we hope to make it back some day. I highly recommend the Carpenter House!

This was my first time using using Airbnb and it was amazing! My family and I visited this lake house and it was beautiful and well maintained. The home was very cozy and my family fell in love. The host was super helpful and when I sent him a message he answered fast. I think this is a grate place to go to if you want to have some family time. I highly recommend this place and will visit again in the near future.

Wow! This little cottage was perfect for our short family vacation! The location was great, and the cottage itself, and the surrounding area, were gorgeous! We loved the town of Williamsburg, and the pond was great for swimming and canoeing. We will be back next summer, for certain!

Great cabin with everything you'll need for a terrific adventure! Very comfortable beds and lots of ample communal space for gathering. Daniel was very accommodating and extremely helpful getting us settled. The cabin is in a private community with a lake and pitch & putt golf course. The cabin isn't on the lake but Daniel has easy access to the water very nearby and you can use any of his many boats! Definite recommend for a sweet getaway!

This cottage is great, and Daniel is a wonderful and responsive host. The cottage was bigger than expected from the pictures and easily accommodated the three of us. It was really comfortable and felt like "home" from the moment we entered it. The cottage was spotless, and Daniel had left vases of fresh flowers here and there to boot! The location is quiet and guests have access to a beautiful nearby lake for swimming and boating; it also is only about 30 minutes to Amherst. One of the mattresses is moderately firm and the other is very soft. The only real "downside" is no internet access at the cottage, although it is available at the lake. All in all, a wonderful place and a great value, and we would rent it again in a heartbeat.

I can't say enough about how enchanting Kathy's cabin is. The view is (URL HIDDEN) fact, everything was. We spent a month and it was serener and rejuvenating. You couldn't ask for a better host or a better experience.

The Peaceful Cottage was delightful. The entire experience was pleasant and easy to book. Our time at the cottage was comfortable. The surroundings are stunningly beautiful! Kathy was perfect. We can't wait to go back!

We didn't meet Kathy, but she contacted us by phone and email, and when I called her she was immediately available. She was very friendly and welcoming. It is a beautiful rural neighborhood, with a pond in the backyard which leads to a larger lake.

We had a lovely stay at Kathy's place – it's an extraordinary setting. A bit of a drive from many of the Berkshires towns, but very close to Northampton. We neglected to read that there was no air conditioning or wifi – so do plan to unplug.

Spectacular location! We had such a great time going out in the paddle boat and swimming in the pond. The house was extremely homey and welcoming as well -- it felt like staying at a friend's!

Our family ranges in age from 2 to 78, and we all enjoyed a delightful time at Kathy's house - which feels like a simple but cozy home in a quiet, relaxing location. The kids loved the deep bathtub! The adults appreciated the comfortable seating. We all enjoyed meals and movies on the spacious screened-in porch, the paddle boat and turtle sightings, walks around the lake, and the kid-perfect sandy beach. Kathy was quickly responsive by text and very kind.

Kathy was great, very friendly and was always available. She was quick to respond even while abroad. The cottage is what we expected for a relaxing vacation. The place is pretty remote, privacy and peace is ensured.

What a great place to relax and unwind. Steve and Marie are great hosts who made sure the home is well equipped before you arrive. Steve met us at the door and gave us the tour. You can tell he takes pride in his home and his ability to be a great host. He even made sure we had a basket of fresh baked goods from the local bakery. Fresh scones for the adults and fresh chocolate chip cookies for our son. The house has ac, directv, and wifi, what more could you ask for? The kitchen has all new appliances including a dishwasher and a high end refrigerator. We got much use out of the lake. The fish were biting all week and the lake was not over run with too many other boats/kayakers etc. We brought our own kayaks to use but they had a few to choose from if you wanted to use theirs. We've decided we will be back again next year and possibly for a weekend or two this winter. We loved it in Goshen and at the Lake Escape.

Steve and Marie are phenomenal hosts and their cottage was an ideal experience for our family. We rented it for our parents (4 grandparents) to stay while visiting our family in Goshen. They were extremely comfortable and were able to stay nearby. The lake is beautiful and the cottage has everything one needs for a sunny day on the lake (e.g., kayaks, beach towels, etc) or a rainy day inside. Thank you Steve and Marie!

My friends and I very much enjoyed this much needed, albeit short, getaway. Steve (who we had most contact with) was a great and generous host who offered the perfect blend of presence and privacy, and was an attentive communicator throughout. Next time I will be sure to use the kayaks--though just looking at the lake (and taking a dip on the last day) was serene enough. I've lived in that area for years until moving to NYC, and was delighted to discover a nook I'd never known of. The dwelling itself was cozy in the true sense of the word (not that thing realtors do to make 'small' sound appealing). The couches were like good parents, providing a supportive holding environment. I slept like a log in a well-linened bed with a good choice of mattress. The ducks by the lake turned out to be great friends, and little details like the walkway and the stained glass nightlight and the slab of rock holding the grill all contributed to a sense of care and creativity that made for a splendid stay. Highly recommended for a lakeview getaway, just don't book when I want to return ;)

Steve & Marie's place is beautiful just as viewed in the pictures. They have thought of everything. Steve greeted us on arrival, fresh baked goodies were waiting & stocked fridge of water. We have stayed in many Airbnb and this one ranks very high . We so loved the beautiful lake & getting to go kayaking.We would definitely stay again!!

Olga's home is clean and inviting. It is surrounded by beautiful woods, full of chirping birds and crickets. The room my boyfriend and I stayed in for one night was private and comfortable. Olga's home is very lovely. It's on a quiet stretch of road and surrounded by trees. I loved hearing the sounds of nature all around. Her house is very tidy and yet full of interesting and unique items. The guest bedroom and bathroom are set off in a separate part of the house so there's plenty of privacy. I needed to be in Northampton which is an easy 15 minute drive from the house. I recommend staying at Olga's place if you want to be a bit out of town and in a woodsy area where you can relax and enjoy nature.

Olga was a wonderful host. She was both respectful of my privacy when I was tired, and very happy to talk and share meals with me. While there she suggested great places for me to go shopping and eat, and invited me to go to a live Taiko performance that was great. The house and surrounding land was beautiful and charming, and my whole experience was wonderful. I definitely plan on staying here again if I'm every in the area, and would suggest it to anyone else.

Olga's accomodations were exactly as shown, but the pictures fail to communicate how beautiful and peaceful the lush forest setting is. This retreat is a perfect place to stay for a college visit to Northampton or Amherst if you don't mind being a short pretty drive out of town. We woke up to a gorgeous fall day and were astonished by the colors of the leaves and freshness of the air. Olga couldn't have been more solicitous, but she took cues from us about how much we did or didn't want to interact.

This home was perfect for our recent family vacation. The home is wonderfully rustic and cozy, but spacious. Our host, Nancy, was very gracious, helpful and responsive to inquiries or contacts we made with her. The home is very kid-friendly, and we loved the lake views, the private dock, the lakefront location and the beach, which is a 3-minute walk away. Massive glass panes on the first floor provide a beautiful panoramic view of the water. The water was very clean and great for swimming. Little things matter. The house has plenty of 3-prong outlets, for instance, and several small fans. There are games, a ping pong table, a nice charcoal grill, a rowboat, a large canoe portable chairs for the outdoors, and fishing equipment. The house does not have WIFI, but our ATT phones got good reception and we brought our own ATT wireless hotspot, which worked great. There are ice cream shops, a putt putt golf course, a golf course, a general store, and a great coffee shop all within a 10 minute drive. We will be calling Nancy again next year about reserving a week. Our kids and grandkids can't wait to go back.

We are a repeat guest, and we had another wonderful stay. This again enjoyed this lakefront home for our summer family vacation with our kids and grandkids. We love the beautiful stone fireplace, the floor to ceiling LR windows offering a panoramic view of the water, the rec room with ping pong, the large dock with chairs, the canoe and flat bottom boat (provided) rides around the lake, the 5 bedrooms, and the quiet. The simple, rustic furnishings and older carpets mean that you don't have to worry about your kids actually playing in the house. There is no TV, which for us is refreshing, and the house and area provides all kinds of other things to do (boating, fishing, swimming, golf, ice cream, mini golf, antiques, coffee shops, etc) We plan to come again.

Wonderful lakeside cabin! House was very kid friendly, which was a big plus for us.

We had a wonderful time at Jain's house. The location is fantastic. It's directly on a pond with really clean water. There's a little beach area for swimming and a small dock for the boats. Our son loved running around in the large back yard and we loved sitting around the fire pit at night. The house was perfect for our small family and 2 dogs (and we didn't even use the loft). We really enjoyed sitting in the back porch overlooking the water eating our meals. The bed was very comfy too.

This home was the epitome of relaxation. Beautiful view, comfy and cozy home, and peace and quiet. Very hospitable and welcomed us with open arms. We spent the morning canoeing around the lake and the night roasting marshmallows over the fire. It was really hard to go home after staying in this place.

Great spot on a sweet private lake with no motor boats. Perfect for families with children. Swam, rode the paddle boats, had a wienie roast - what more could you want? Jain is a good communicator and reliable host. This was our second stay at the cabin.

I loved the time that I spent at Waterfront Camp. The pictures and listing are completely accurate. I was there in the fall so seeing the leaves change was beautiful. I would recommend this listing to anyone who is interested in a nice stay in a natural setting--and one which is reasobably close to the 5 colleges in amherst as well as other Berkshires venues.

Jain was such a great host to me and my family visiting Western Mass for my brother's college graduation. She made sure we were comfortable with directions, and spoke on the phone with my mother who had questions about the place. The house was perfect for 4-5 people. Even with the rainy weather we had, it was still a peaceful cabin on the lake.

Katherine's home was by far one of the best Airbnb's I have ever used. The studio apartment is absolutely gorgeous and super comfortable! I'm an academic and had a lot of writing and grading to do while I was there, and the space was perfect for me (a coffee maker, table to work at, quiet). Katherine also seems to think of everything - there were plenty of breakfast foods, a coffee and tea maker (she even had half and half in the fridge for me), toiletries in case I had forgotten something. Since the snow has just melted in MA, the gardens weren't in bloom yet, but I'm assuming they'll be gorgeous over the summer and I bet the New England Fall foliage around her home is stunning - I'll definitely be going back to see them. Also, there are some great places to walk near her home (including the Hill Town Land Trust) if you're outdoorsy. Home is a really quick drive to Northampton and the Five Colleges, and the town of Williamsburg has a cute general store and a brewery!

I feel like I could write endlessly on how wonderful my stay at Katherine's was. Myself and my group had spent over 7 hours riding on a motorcycle trip in the rain and Katherine helped us to feel very welcome. The accomodations were very comfortable. Excellent bed and shower. Lovely area in the woods with beautiful landscaping. Every possible thing we needed was in the house right down to snacks a plenty and toiletries. I highly recommend Katherine' s airbnb

I needed a place to rest, relax and recharge and Kate and Kelly's place was the perfect place to do it!! They have thought of everything a guest might need to be comfortable in their beautiful studio apartment. Plenty of breakfast foods, coffee and tea with all the fixings, any toiletry you might have forgotten at home along with beautiful gardens to enjoy and stroll thorough. The studio was easy to find and close to Historic Deerfield, Amherst and Northampton. It was a one hour drive on a scenic byway to visit the Hancock Shaker Village. Thank you Kate and Kelly for sharing your studio and yourselves. This was a wonderful first Airbnb experience!!

The studio was very quiet and everything was in good condition and clean. The complimentary breakfast was very convenient and saved us time and money in the mornings. Definitely would recommend!

This place was beautiful! Every morning, we got an amazing sunrise that lit up the whole kitchen. Not much better than letting the dog run around the backyard while drinking a coffee and watching the sunrise :) The house was very close to Williamsburg, and we took advantage of the market there (great for last-minute things) and the Brewmaster's Tavern. If you go up the hill from the house, there are quite a few different trails that are great for little hikes! The house was clean and well-equipped with everything you might need. I can imagine that it's even better in the summer, since there's a zip line, hammock, pool, and a massive deck that would be lovely during summer!!

It is such a beautiful place. Val and Mark are wonderful hosts. The solarium is so comfortable and bright. We had a great time and would stay here again in a second. Great communications!

I stayed here with my family (4 total and a dog) and had a wonderful time during the winter for Christmas. The photos on the listing didn't do it justice. The house is in amazing condition with surround sound, a mounted beautiful tv, etc. the house is modern and well updated. The kitchen the selling point for us is super well equipped and fun to spend time in. The yard was wonderful to play with the dog. Overall it was a beautiful place and felt very at home there.

Wifi was strong. A short drive to Northampton and nice restaurants and shops. Visited Chapel Falls and DAR State Forest. Val was very responsive and answered all our questions, a great host!

Our stay at Val's place was wonderful - I actually think the listing didn't do the house justice! We were pleasantly surprised by the spaciousness of the house and especially enjoyed the kitchen and solarium! Val was very responsive both before and during our stay. We hope to come back in the summer and enjoy the pool and the large, wrap around porch. All around it was the perfect stay for us, our ten month old daughter and dog. Thanks, Val!

Great place to stay if you're looking to stay in and cook, as the open kitchen has a large island that's perfect to gather around while getting a meal together. Front porch has automatic screens which keep most of the bugs out, which is nice. We spent the weekend with our dog, who enjoyed the back yard (un-fenced).

The house was huge and sparkling clean! It was everything we hoped for and more. It is in a woodsy area with beautiful views. The bed was comfortable and so were all the couches. We relaxed, hiked in the DAR State Forest, and visited the brewery in Williamsburg. It was great that there was a small grocery store nearby, too. All of Val's instructions were thorough and helpful. She texted us back immediately when we needed assistance sorting out all the TV remotes. I highly recommend this beautiful home.

Very convenient place for a wedding at Valley View. Easy check in and check out and just a charming house. Perfect for 4 people. Would definitely stay again to hear the babbling brook and relax in this part of Massachusetts.

The house and property are really idyllic and clean. My room was very comfortable and Sandy was communicative and friendly throughout my 1-month stay. The whole place gives off a nice home-away-from-home vibe. Highly recommend.

Need a reasonably priced place to stay somewhere in the vicinity of Northampton. The price was right. Had difficulty finding the place , but finally did. Had some concerns which Sandra responded to , so it worked out pretty well.

Great place to stay for a wedding in location

Located on a gorgeous farm 15 min from Northampton, this home is a lovely space to stay in with a large group. It is clean, comfortable, and has lovely decor. It even has a little greenhouse for some extra zen! Our friends really enjoyed their stay here for the night of our wedding.

Ingrid was in touch with me several times prior to our arrival. Her house was beautiful and just as described. It was full of charm for adults and adventure for the kids. We had everything we needed from bedding to linens, washer & dryer, and a fully stocked kitchen with the most beautiful dishes and enamel ware in the pantry. It was so fun to browse the bookshelves and play games (Skittles!!) and especially to enjoy the outdoors. Our kids ran around for hours with bug nets, took hikes through the woods, and found some frogs in the pond. At night, we turned off the house lights and gazed at the stars. We would come here again in a heartbeat.

Absolutely loved the weekend at this house. It's enormous, tons of sleeping space for a big crew. Loved the many different rooms for people to hang out in. We had a great time grilling outside, eating outside on the porch, and playing many yard games in the outside areas. Also really appreciated Ingrid (the host) for the detailed instructions to the house - crucial without cell service and arriving after dark as many of us did.

Very nice place, secluded and near many swimming holes. Bonus: fresh blueberry picking at the end of the street! The house is in a very moist area and as a result the first floor has a strong mildewy odor.

We loved the house, the views and the feeling of the property. The house came well apportioned and offered numerous places to sit and enjoy the scenery. You can tell the hosts care about the house and keep it in top condition. I would highly recommend this listing.

Ingrid's house was perfect for our large group of 12 adults and 6 children/babies. There was enough space for everyone to spread out and do their own thing or for everyone to spend time together. The house is very lovely and comfortable and the views and property are beautiful.
