Great accommodation and friendly hosts.

This is good quality accommodation, in quite an unusual setting, within walking distance of the village of Cheriton Fitzpaine. I was going to an afternoon / evening party and was grateful to be able to drop off my car earlier than official check-in time (which I missed, due to my being at the party). The bed was comfortable, the water was hot and the shower worked well (once I had figured out how to turn it on). I skipped breakfast, just having a cup of tea in the room, so can't comment on it. Communication with my hosts started off very well but, unfortunately, mobile signal in Cheriton Fitzpaine is virtually non-existent, so it was impossible for us to remain in touch.

Beautiful apartment where the equipment is complete. The reception and the exchange are perfect. The landscape is very beautiful and relaxing place.

Had a great family trip here. The farm house was absolutely amazing It was very clean, tidy and comfortable. Hot tub was superb, had lots of fun on the table tennis and pool table. Went running in the mornings the roads were very quiet and there was lots of big long hills so great for opening up the lungs. Kids loved the cows in the field passing each day and the dogs by the house. Didn't have any issues with anything, check in was easy, found the place easily, everything worked fine, plenty of bedding ect, lots of parking, the place was faultless. Had a wonderful holiday.

A lovely countryside retreat! Beautiful surroundings, cosy, comfortable and clean home-from-home. Highly recommend to anyone who wants a bit of time away from it and a chance to enjoy the Devonshire countryside.

Beautiful setting with fantastic views. The cottage is well equipped with all mod-cons and Simon kindly left some welcoming goodies. The property is as in the photos, the master bedroom is superb with the other 2 smaller rooms nicely furnished. Our only gripe would be the bunk bed room has a very low ceiling and the couple who slept in here, found it clostryphobic. This room might be better served as a double (without the bunk), or another twin. Hot tub and Games room are a brilliant bonus and the inquisitive dogs kept everyone entertained. Excellent pubs 1/2 hour walk away, then Staggered back after a few pints of local cider......bliss! Thanks Simon, would definately recommend Peach Hayne and hope to return one day.

What a peach of a place this is. Cut off in the heart of Devon from the everyday you’ve left behind, in the rolling hills of a working farm with its trio of curious collies and hens pecking on the doorstep, this is the house you never need to leave. There’s a hot-tub-with-a-view in the garden, ping-pong and pool in the barn, a big tv and video games for the kids, all wrapped up in a top-notch standard of décor and fittings, presented by an exceptionally engaging host. Can you tell we enjoyed ourselves?

Beautiful and immaculate barn in the middle of stunning (URL HIDDEN) has real character yet still with a modern feel. The wet room as an extra bathroom is brilliant..fully equipped kitchen..and a delicious homemade cake to have with a cuppa when you arrive after a long journey is so welcome! Lovely patio area outside for sunny days too.

What a lovely place for a long weekend. The cottage is clean and bright with all the equipment that we needed and more. The wet room was a big bonus and we were very grateful for the detailed directions and warm welcome. An idyllic spot - we'll be back.

An absolutely idyllic place to stay. In the 'Devon Lanes' but still accessible. A beautiful barn conversion that is extremely well appointed - I don't think that the pictures do it justice. Rob and Steph are very welcoming and the homemade cake was lovely - just couldn't eat it (URL HIDDEN) bring some basic provisions with you. We had a fantastic stay at Rob and Steph's place! It is beautifully appointed and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The hosts are only to happy to give us tips on local attractions and were so friendly making us feel very at home.

We had a great time staying at Creedy Meadow barn, the location was exactly what we were looking for. The barn itself was better than we'd imagined, clean and tidy with lots of little extras, that we didn't even think about! The victoria sponge on arrival, was very much appreciated and went down a treat!! Rob and Steph are great people, willing to offer any help or advice, but at the same time respecting your privacy. We would highly recommend the barn as accommodation and also Rob and Steph as hosts. Thanks again.

Beautifully done barn conversion with everything you need for a perfect weekend, away from it all in the heart of the countryside with beautiful views during the day or the evening with a gin and tonic on the patio, bring your star gazing book! Also very easy to get to the coast, Exeter and many many places.

Unser Aufenthalt hier war sehr schön, ruhig und entspannend. Das Haus ist voll von Wesentlichen von bekommen benötigt und schön dekoriert. Es ist sauber, komfortabel und in einer wunderschönen Lage. Schönes kleines Hotel für ein Wochenende. Wir werden auf jeden Fall reccomending befreundet sein.

Sehr schöne Unterkunft, sehr freundlich und hilfsbereiter Gastgeber. Alles, was man brauchte, einschließlich Wesentliches wie Milch und Brot zur Verfügung gestellt

Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt in Pennymore. Die Hütte war genau das, was wir erwartet haben - sehr gemütlich und geräumig. Vom Wohnzimmer im Obergeschoss haben Sie wirklich, dass erstaunliche Ansichten auf dem Bild gezeigt. Wir waren sehr glücklich, dass Christine den Kühlschrank mit vielen Dingen gefüllt ein gutes Abendessen und Frühstück zu haben, wie alles an einem Ostersonntag geschlossen war und es ziemlich weit nach Tiverton zu gehen. Christine war ein fantastischer Gastgeber, sehr entspannend und auch die Menschen, die wir in Pennymore trafen, waren freundlich. Wir würden auf jeden Fall empfehlen, in Christines Hütte zu bleiben. Es ist geeignet, die wirklich schöne Landschaft rund um Devon und seine sehr schöne Hauptstadt Exeter zu erkunden. Vielen Dank Christine!

Christines Haus ist wunderschön und es war ein echtes Vergnügen, dort zu bleiben. Wir hatten ein wunderschönes Wochenende, Christines als Basis Dartmoor, Woolacombe und Croyde zu erkunden. Durchaus zu empfehlen (wir haben bereits alle unsere Freunde gesagt!)

Situated in a lovely picturesque village, nice local pub close by, walking distance. Very pretty setting for a base, close to many favourite tourist attractions. Host was very friendly and offered access to share their garden during our stay. loved the accomodation, ample room and facilities.

Stugan överträffade mina förväntningar och var helt perfekt för en avkopplande semester. Det är vackert rymligt och mycket välutrustat. Vyerna är fantastiska och det var en riktig behandling att äta frukost med utsikt över kullarna - antingen från utsidan när det var soligt eller från de stora fönstren när det stora brittiska vädret bestämde sig för att släppa oss! Det var också härligt att sitta ner vid sjön för att koppla av. Det finns några härliga promenader från stugan och jag njöt verkligen av att spendera veckan i denna lilla bit av paradiset. Underbara, vänliga hundar var också en höjdpunkt! Ett litet råd: Var sparsam med varmt vatten när vi sprang ut några gånger - även om det kanske har varit en av / något vi gjorde fel ... Allt som allt en fantastisk plats att bo, utmärkta, tankeväckande värdar och jag skulle gärna återvända - rekommenderas.

Underbar stuga, underbart läge. Stugan är rymlig, hade allt vi behövde och var obefläckade. Chris och Liz gav oss tydliga anvisningar för att komma dit innan vi åkte och var tillgängliga om vi behövde något (vi gjorde inte). Vacker grunder och omgivande område med rekommenderade promenader. Skulle rekommenderar - vi gick för en jul paus och skulle definitivt tillbaka till erfarenhet på sommaren.

We had a really wonderful stay at Oakwood Farm Cottage. The views of the countryside from the house were absolutely stunning. We very much enjoyed visiting the lake and the lovely summer house and all the little touches. The lake is full of fish and we loved watching them and also venturing out in the rowing boat. There are also a number of really nice walks in the countryside or to local pubs. The cottage itself is in the most peaceful spot, is clean and well presented and very comfortable. The hosts were very welcoming and friendly and were there on hand should we have any questions. Would definitely come back, it was a wonderful holiday.

We absolutely loved our stay in Efford and only wished we could have stayed longer. I have stayed in Exeter many times as an ex student and it is certainly worth staying here for a great alternative to the city centre. You have the benefit of beautiful surroundings, fantastic views of the countryside, peace and quiet whilst still being very close to the centre of town and everything you need. The house was great and the bedroom was lovely and comfortable with en suite plus breakfast was perfect. Jane was a welcoming and friendly host and went above and beyond to make our arrival and stay comfortable. Can't recommend enough, great value and hopefully will return when I come back to Exeter or any of the surrounding areas.

Wir haben den Urlaub sehr genossen. Es herrschte eine freundliche und offene Atmosphäre. Wir konnten unsere Gastgeber jederzeit ansprechen, sie haben uns wertvolle Tipps gegeben und uns mit detaillierten Karten versorgt. Sie haben uns die Alpakas und den Hof gezeigt und erklärt. Das Bett war superbequem. Wer die Ruhe und Abgeschiedenheit mag, ist hier sehr gut aufgehoben.

Wir waren enttäuscht von dieser Unterkunft und können sie leider nicht weiter empfehlen.

Unsere Gastgeber waren immer auf dem Grundstück zu finden und stets ansprechbar. Kleines Manko war, dass man immer durchs Wohnzimmer und die Küche um das Zimmer zu verlassen oder zu betreten. Das Badezimmer ist sehr geräumig und alles Nötige ist vorhanden. Das W-Lan ist leider nur eingeschränkt nutzbar (nur für E-Mails, etc. kein Upload von Bildern)

Rachel und ihr Mann begrüßten uns bei unserer Ankunft ganz herzlich, boten uns eine Tasse Tee an und erzählten interessant und spannend über den Alltag auf einer Alpakafarm. Rachel hatte uns einen frischen Blumenstrauß aufs geräumige und schön eingerichtete Zimmer gestellt. Uns gefiel die Atmosphäre des ganzen Hauses sehr gut. Zum Frühstück durften wir uns von den farmeigenen Eiern bedienen und genossen den herrlichen Ausblick über das Tal. Während der vier Tage unseres Aufenthalts freundeten wir uns mit dem kleinen Hund Alice und den Alpakas an. Obwohl Rachel und ihr Mann viel Arbeit auf der Farm hatten, konnten wir uns jederzeit mit Fragen an sie wenden.

We really enjoyed our time at Rachel's place. At the day we arrived, they took us for a short and sweet farm tour. We both not only met those lovely alpacas but also broadened our knowledge by their insight and experience. Highly recommend for anyone who looking for unique & unforgettable experiences! :))

A wonderful stay! We were warmly welcomed by Rachel and Chas, and the delightful Alice. The cosy farmhouse is in such a quiet and tranquil area that we felt relaxed as soon as we arrived. It was lovely to walk round and see all the alpacas, including a baby born that day. We had a great meal in a pub about 10 minutes drive away that Chas recommended. The bedroom was spacious with freeview tv if required, and the private bathroom has the most fantastic shower. What a lovely experience for our first Airbnb stay, we would love to return if we are back that way.

Rachel was very kind to take the booking at short notice. She promptly messaged with helpful directions to the house. On arrival we met Rachel, Chaz and their lovely little dog Alice. All very welcoming and we felt very relaxed straight away. We had arrived at night and had a quick tour of the farm house before Chaz made a well needed cup of tea. The farmhouse is spacious and overlooks wonderful rolling hills. As Rachel and Chaz are Alpaca farmers they were up early and we were allowed to make our own breakfast and use the kitchen. The bedroom was very clean and tidy and we had the use of a separate bathroom with a shower and bath in it. The water was lovely and warm. Rachel was lovely and stayed up to chat. Really interesting to listen her about the alpacas and foraging. In the morning we had a guided tour of the alpacas which was fascinating and bonus on our stop there. We were sent off with new directions and some cracking eggs. Highly recommend a stay with Rachel.

Schönes, sauberes und helles Zimmer mit allem was man braucht. Wendy liefert Tee / Kaffee im Zimmer sowie ein reichhaltiges Frühstück im Speisesaal. Wäre sehr glücklich, wieder zu bleiben, wenn in der Gegend.

Perfect place for an escape into the country where you can explore the countryside and feel remote but not too far from civilisation! The house itself is even better than the pictures and stocked with everything you could need (particularly the kitchen!), with information on local walks, eateries and activities. All good sized bedrooms, dining room and cosy lounge with fireplace. The hosting was exemplary with all questions answered promptly and Charlotte went beyond the extra mile to ensure the check in and check out process worked around us and we had everything we needed throughout our stay. A beautifully renovated historic property in a secluded location with modern amenities. The grounds were well maintained with many facilities to keep children amused, including badminton and table tennis. The welcoming cream tea was a surprise and a lovely touch. Charlotte was a great host and very knowledgeable regarding the local area. Highly recommended for both a short and longer stay.

The most magical weekend away for my birthday! The house was everything I could have wished for and more. Situated in the most stunning location with breath taking views from every window. Charlotte was incredibly attentive and recommended various places for us to visit during our stay. The house also came with a whole folder on places for walks etc. The attention to detail and feel of the place was just perfect and we are already planning our next visit!

Exceptionally refurbished large family cottage. Brand new this spring and superbly managed and maintained. Everything has been thought of for couples, families with a baby and your dog. Peaceful setting, very private and secure. Easily five star level.

Realmente disfruté de mi estancia con Louise, ella fue muy amable y servicial. La comida era estupenda y era muy agradable para sentarse y charlar sobre cualquier cosa. Como yo estaba en bicicleta Lands End de John O 'Groats nada era demasiado como ella limpiaba mi ropa y me preparó un gran desayuno listo para mi viaje.

Lugar de Louise era deliciosamente tranquilo y me hicieron sentir bienvenido y en casa.

Lugar de Louise es absolutamente maravilloso! La ubicación es perfecta: paseos por el campo, hermosas vistas, y la proximidad a un pub maravilloso (Beer Engine es un lugar de visita obligada!). Su jardín es espectacular, sin duda pedir un tour cuando te alojas allí. Louise y su familia son encantadores. Hicieron que mi estancia una que nunca olvidaré. Me siento como si estuviera con un amigo en vez de un AirBnB. Ya echo de menos este escapada rural inglesa aislada.

We HIGHLY recommend this Airbnb!!! From the off, Catalina's response and communication was clear, super fast, friendly and efficient. The house is a stunning, thatched cottage in the centre of the pretty and idyllic village of Thorverton. Catalina and Sholto have cleverly and lovingly retained and restored many of the house's original features creating a warm, welcoming and exceptionally comfortable home for any lucky visitor to experience. Our room was simply gorgeous. We slept like logs in the comfortable bed with its deep mattress and top quality linen. Catalina's attention to detail was second to none. There was a tray with all we needed for a delicious cuppa and the best quality teas and coffees (eg Clipper organics) and the nicest china mugs (eg Emma Bridgewater) etc as well as some delicious sweet treats! There were fresh flowers on the chest of drawers and just what we needed in the way of drawer space, hanging provision and mirrors. Our PRIVATE bathroom was adorable and a work of genius with its quirky decor. The shower was excellent, the pressure strong and the water good and hot at all times. There were top quality soap, toiletries and towels in abundance and everything was immaculately clean. Breakfast was laid in the lovely dining room which we could help ourselves to when it suited us and again every detail had been thought of. The offering was superb. As well as a great selection of cereal there was local honey, good quality marmalade and delicious bread to follow with a toaster and kettle available for our own use. There was a wonderful selection of teas, coffee (including filter) and fruit juice as well as a large bowl of fresh fruit (organic) and yogurt to help ourselves to. My dairy intolerance was no problem to Catalina - she made sure there was plenty of alternative choice for me. We took our dog and he had the most wonderful time playing with Catalina and Sholto's dog. Our dog was made as welcome as we were with dog treats and poo bags provided as well as a super thick dog bed! One of the things we really appreciated was the peace and tranquility. Although there was a little village shop opposite, a bus stop outside and a couple of pubs within a stones throw, the village was so wonderfully peaceful. We could really relax. We enjoyed walking from the house and we went for several miles with our dog into the breathtakingly beautiful countryside. Everyone we met was so friendly! For us, this was the perfect Airbnb and we have come home feeling relaxed, refreshed and immensely happy. Charming room, home, village and host. Would definitely recommend and would love to stay again. Catalina was very welcoming. The local pub was conveniently opposite - we had a nice chilli nachos there (although if you are vegetarian there is no vegetarian option but it did say new menu coming soon so hopefully vegetarians will be catered for) This was our first airbnb experience and it ticked all the boxes. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

Catalina's house is a beautiful thatched cottage in the middle of Thorverton. The room had plenty of space and the bathroom is right next door. Sholto and Catalina are a lovely hospitable couple who made us feel at home. Every morning there was a good breakfast selection laid out for us to serve ourselves. A quality and welcoming place to stay.

Many Thanks to a friendly and charming young couple in their lovely home! We only stayed the one night but would definitely return: village, room and breakfast were all special. This is what the best of airbnb offers: an individual experience in a great place, with little bonuses such as fresh flowers, tips on where to take the dog for a walk, which cider to drink in a peaceful location. We were tired from hours in the car and our stay was a real boost.

Catalina and Sholto were very friendly, patient and accepting and all round lovely people to have hosting you. The room had lots of space and we slept well at night, we had our own bathroom area too which was great. We had a key to come and go as we pleased and tea/coffee extras etc provided aswell. Ein perfekter Aufenthalt in Crediton. Flapjacks bei der Ankunft war köstlich und noch warm! Alles, was man braucht und mein Freund und ich sagte immer wieder, wie brillant der Ort ist und wie großartig die Innen aussieht. Auf jeden Fall empfehlen Aufenthalt!

Die Ställe waren in der Tat ein erstaunlicher Ort zu bleiben und unsere Gastgeber Bernie und Frankie sorgten dafür, dass wir alles, was wir brauchten. Aufgrund unseres sehr kurzen Aufenthalt wir uns kennen nicht zu viel Chance zu bekommen, aber auch während dieser Zeit, dass wir einen sehr positiven Eindruck hatten, und die Pfannkuchen, die begrüßten wir waren köstlich!

Es war einer der schönsten Urlaube, die wir hatten. Fran und Bernie sind wunderbare Gastgeber. Die Unterkunft hat bei uns sofort das Gefühl von einem Zuhause gegeben. Wir werden die gemütliche Stimmung sehr vermissen und kommen ganz bestimmt wieder als Gäste zurück. Es war perfekt!

Wir waren begeistert von den Blumen und kleine Kuchen, die für uns gelassen wurden, und die Konversionseigenschaft ist noch schöner in Person als auf den Bildern. Wir entschieden uns für das Hotel, weil wir ein Land Bruch / Urlaub auf Balkonien, und wurden nicht enttäuscht wollten. Die Küche war perfekt ausgestattet für uns backen, kochen und entspannen, wir eine große Lieferung hat kurz zu kommen, nachdem wir das gemacht haben, und die drei Ebenen und hohen Decken macht es für zwei Personen groß fühlen. Vielen Dank für Ihre Gastfreundschaft beide und wir hoffen, bald wieder dabei zu sein!

Die Scheune ist sehr komfortabel und in einer ruhigen Gegend. Die Renovierung des Besitzers ist vornehm und wohnlich: vor allem die Küche ist atemberaubend und Sie können die alle drei Ebenen verbinden. Sie können die Stadt Crediton erreichen in 20 Minuten zu Fuß, wo man Essen und Geschäfte finden. Exeter ist 30 Minuten von hier entfernt.

Great stay. Down for a wedding with my wife, our 14mth old and in laws. Roger and Bindy are very friendly and helpful hosts who made our stay very enjoyable. Even had some goodies in the fridge to stay, couldn't ask for more!

The hosts were very nice and friendly and gave us bread, cheese and wine. However, although WiFi is present it is very very slow. Most of the house was clean but the rugs did have a lot of hair in them.

Excellent hospitality in a scenic, peaceful setting. All the comforts of home. Highly recommended.

We stayed at Mill Cottage for 5 days while filming in Devon. The cottage is situated in the gorgeous countryside of Devon, although we didn't get to enjoy as much as we would have liked due to being so busy! Roger and Bindy were welcoming and friendly from our arrival to our departure and were happy to help with anything that we needed, including replacing the kettle in the cottage when the first one didn't work. The cottage itself was clean and comfortable and we would all happily stay here again. Thank you Roger and Bindy!

Roger and Bindy were the perfect hosts. The cottage is a lovely get away from it place, but only a few miles from Tiverton and central for exploring this part of the country. Two lovely bedrooms and bathrooms and a fabulously snug living room with woodburner. Kitchen well equiped and so our short stay was a delight. Hidden away in a tiny hamlet by a river its a lovely secluded location. Two well recommended pubs within an easy drive and full facilities in Tiverton make this a lovely place for a proper holiday or a weekend get away. Our hosts communicated brilliantly with us and we appreciated the little welcome pack of food including eggs from thier chickens. With a little garden next to the river We imagine it will be brilliant place to sit out on summer evenings. Hoping to visit again Alan Linda and Bethan

Wonderful house and a very warm welcome from Iain who showed us everything we needed to know about on arrival. We spent 2 days here swimming in the pool, making pizzas in the wood fired oven and enjoying the weather. Will definitely be back!

We had a fabulous stay at home croft for my hen weekend. The house was large enough to fit all 18 of us in comfortably and the garden is beautiful! We made full use of the pool, and pizza oven and eggs from the chickens!

Beautiful house, beautiful view. The weather was great so we got to enjoy the pool too. The area is great, Ring O Bells pub is an awesome pub. Great beer.

We had a fantastic time at Iain's. Everything went as we hoped and the house was even better than it looks on the pictures. Iain was very helpful about everything throughout the stay. There was even a home baked cake waiting for us and the fire burning when we arrived. Perfect, after a 5 hour drive!

We booked Iain's house in Cheriton Fitzpaine for 16 of us to stay over New Years. Iain was so welcoming and helpful once we had arrived and was also accommodating on the time in which we could do this as some of our party arrived early. We were welcomed with mulled wine and mince pies which was ideal after our 5 hour journey! Further I had emailed ahead to see if there were cake tins at the house as it was one of our groups birthday, Iain made sure this was provided. The house was just as described and set amongst the beautiful Devon scenery with great facilities - there is a hob with six rings, a separate oven and an aga, which made cooking for 16 easy and there was plenty of fridge space for our supplies. We also made pizza in the pizza oven. Iain also has hens out the back and said we could help ourselves to eggs, which we definitely would have done had we not come with something like 124 eggs (over prepared!). Sadly due to the overly wet weather that was experienced over NYE in much of the UK, we didn't get out for walks too much. But there is a lovely pub called the Ring of Bells which we managed to venture out to. And it was lovely and cosy to sit in front of the open fire in the living room of Iain's house, watching DVDs and playing games. I honestly could have stayed here for more than three nights! And it would be lovely to come here in the summer too, to make the most of the pool and the space out the back! Thanks for a lovely break from the city Iain!

Fantastic! Homecroft is the perfect venue. Look no further! Iain was a pleasure to deal with throughout the booking process and an exceptionally accommodating host during our stay. After a quick guided tour on arrival, Iain let us get on with the important matter of enjoying ourselves. The house really delivers on all points and everything is as listed. All rooms are clean and tidy, prepared ready for your stay. There are plenty of beds (12 of us stayed comfortably), the kitchen is a great size and has everything you might need to cater for large groups. During the day we made full use of the outdoor pizza oven, games room and amazing swimming pool. In the evening we put the fire pit to good use, burning pallets provided. There's loads of seating on the decking and throughout the garden, so we could all hang out and enjoy the relaxed country setting. We brought the weather with us, so the sun really helped. But I wouldn't hesitate to recommend a stay at Homecroft to anyone looking to host a party/stag do.

Our group of twelve had a great time in Iain's big house and used all the facilities...pool, pizza oven, BBQ, fire pit, games room. Really lovely setting and great house. Iain was really welcoming and a great host. Many thanks for a superb stay!
