The Donkey Dairy Cottage - Farm Stay

The Donkey Dairy is one of a kind! Nestled on the slopes of the majestic Magaliesberg, this working donkey farm is home to a variety of friendly farm animals. On your visit you will be greeted by our alpacas, chickens, donkeys, horses, goats and even camels. If you would like to replace your cell phone’s morning alarm with the crowing of roosters or replace the hooting of cars with the braying of donkeys, the solar powered Donkey Dairy Cottage is the place for you! Huna River House

The Huna River House is a two bedroom home next to the Magalies River. It has beautiful high ceilings, large windows, balconies and big sliding doors that open out onto the countryside. The house was designed and built using reclaimed materials, with beautiful wooden floors and industrial windows. The house is a quiet get-away with en-suite bedrooms, large baths and a wood-burning fireplace. The fully equipped kitchen and the covered verandah are well suited to providing dining experiences.

Our Lodge on the mountain has the best views in the Magaliesberg. With sweeping vistas over the valley, you'll be immediately at peace gazing from the patio. A traditional thatch bush home, The Lodge has been lovingly updated with modern, artistic character. Despite a short 1hr 10 min drive from the city, you'll be transported to the heart of nature in this 2,000 hectare game conservancy. Zebras, giraffes, baboons and buck roam freely with occasional visits to our drinking hole.
