We are offering this rustic studio that comfortably sleeps two people, but could also accommodate a family with one small child. There is a large open kitchen (fully equipped) and living space with a cosy sofa and comfortable double bed. It has a lovely wood stove that really warms up the space quickly. Firewood and kindling from our own woods is included in the price.
There is a brand new heated bathroom with a shower, and an additional small bathroom which also contains a washing machine.
The studio also has free high speed WiFi internet access.
We welcome families with children and are happy to provide a high chair and baby cots. The garden features a playhouse and sandpit.
Zugang für Gäste
You have separate access to your flat and to 2 hectares (5 acres) of grounds, including lawn, meadow and woodland, including our own river. You will be sharing the extensive grounds with ourselves and a neighbouring flat, but you have your own seating area and fire ring. There are many spaces to enjoy, to hang out, have campfires and barbeques. We frequently see hares, deer, hedgehogs and abundant birdlife in the garden. Swallows nest around the house and nightingale are heard singing most nights until midsummer. The night sky is stunning and you are welcome to borrow one of our telescopes.
This is a non-smoking house. We do not normally accept pets other than assistance dogs.
Bedding and towels are included in the price and there is no cleaning charge.
We are very flexible about arrival and departure times but will need to know your plans well in advance.
We live in the other half of the farmhouse and will offer you a warm welcome, but also respect your privacy. We are always happy to advise on outings, organise bike hire, provide maps and brochures. Phil is an experienced naturalist and amateur historian and offers nature walks, archaeology and birdwatching trips.
We are a German/English couple who have given up our UK careers to live on the beautiful island of Bornholm. We are parents to 4 year-old twins Sammy and Jonas. Having spend life before children travelling the world to do long distance hiking and to lounge in hot springs, we now enjoy the ramble to our own river.
Phil is a keen naturalist and amateur historian, whilst Katrin enjoys getting creative, dabbling in painting and jewellery making.
