We (2 families, 4 adults and 3 children age 8, 11 and 13) spent 11 days at Lorenzo's place. The villa is fantastic and the garden as well. The pictures don't do the place justice - it was even more beautiful in real life. The pool area is nice and gives a nice breeze on hot summer days. We enjoyed it even though the pool was not available for us the entire stay, due to maintenance. Lorenzo is a great host. He is very forthcoming both in advance, at the check in and during the stay. The place offers fans, towels both for bathing and bathroom and change of bed linen. Supermarket, pharmacy, some resurantes and hilltop villages nearby. We can recommend Lorenzo's place.
We spent a week at this beautiful location. We were two families, four adults and four kids (3 and 6 years). The house is great with lots of communal areas. The pool is nicely located about 30 meters away from the main building and located in an olive grove. The pool area usually offers a nice breeze which is well needed on warm days. The host responds swiftly and the check-in went great and we had a nice tour of the property.
Lorenzo's house is even more beautiful than the photos suggest. It is very stylishly decorated and furnished and extremely well equipped (especially the kitchen - a cook's paradise!). We stayed here for 2 weeks in July and since it was the hottest July on record for 150 years, we spent a lot of time in the pool. The garden is delightful too with different areas to eat/sit/relax . There are some lovely bars and restaurants nearby and interesting hill top towns to visit. We received a very warm welcome from Lorenzo's father when we arrived and at the end of our stay we met Lorenzo's mother who was charming. Sadly, we did not meet Lorenzo himself but we had lots of advice and help by email before and during our holiday. This is a beautiful house for a relaxing and peaceful holiday and I highly recommend it. If you visit during a heat wave just be warned that even with fans running, it is still very hot at night!
Having holidays in Italy is a yearly occurrence for my family and I. We've been to all the hotspots of Umbria, Tuscany, Florence, The Amalfi Coast, The Lakes... and they are all stunning. But Sabina offered a chance to see the Italy behind the 'front' put on so elegantly by the more tourist heavy haunts. It does not disappoint. The property itself is stunning. Large rooms, a generous rustic kitchen, an Italian Billiards Table, and 4 generous bedrooms make for a very comfortable stay. There are no less than 4 separate sofa areas for a siesta and a book... it's a beautifully designed house with equally well considered spaces. Our hosts could not have been more accommodating... or more discreet — they were there when we needed them and left us alone when we didn't. The pool is wonderful. Large and has a diving board and child friendly steps — perfect for our 1.5yr old daughter to sit on in the shallows. The simple life is not a poorly fed one. Local breads from down the road, fresh pasta every day from the amazing 'Pasta Fresca’ up the road... and everything else from the local supermarket. We didn't want endless day trips and searching out another set of churches — we stayed at the villa... all day — and the children slept well every night after full, engaging days chasing butterflies and learning new dives in the pool. The TV was never watched. A choice of dining spaces, from indoors under a chandelier to outdoors under the terrace... or under the leafy loggia with bespoke BBQ & Wood-Fired Pizza Oven... we used them all to great effect. Beds were all very comfortable — bathrooms all clean and tidy, it all worked a treat. If you have 2 kids, or even three, they'd all get their own room and you get yours. Equally, this is a brilliant party pad for a group of friends to catch up over several magnums of Prosecco. I would not hesitate in recommending this place, and these hosts. We will be back as soon as possible... a slice of the good, Italian life — without a multilingual menu in sight... the real deal.
