The apartment gets its name from the brigand Antonio Magrini known as BASILOCCO where he was killed in the kitchen by the Regal Policemen on horseback on February 15th 1904 at 8.30 pm. The Basilocco was one of the last brigands of Maremma at the end of the 19th century who lived in the woods and terrorised the whole area robbing and threatening the inhabitants of the various villages. Legend has taken over this character so much so that the story-tellers sang about his criminal deeds for a long time and about his dramatic death which took place at the young age of only 28 years old.

I studied art history in Florence, where I worked for 15 years in a publishing house.
Now beside the profession in my field I manage the farm that my family owns in Maremma since 1873. I live in Florence and in the farm where my parents reside throughout the year. My sister Elisa with family from Milan move in the summer months.
In Peruzzo also live a couple of caretakers (Robertino and Svetlana), as assistants there are also 3 women (Anna, Angela and Maurizia) while agricultural jobs and garden maintenance is entrusted to 3 workers (Piombone, Luca and Paolo)
