Our recently converted mezzanine studio flat, with its own private entrance. Close to Sheffield University and Teaching Hospital, 25 minutes walk from Sheffield city centre, and with the Peak District also within walking distance, it's a perfect base for all sorts of adventures.
Our 2+2 bed apartment has an open plan living/sleeping area on the ground floor (sleeps two in sofa bed), and a mezzanine area accessible by ladder which sleeps two more on a comfy mattress. On the ground floor is a toilet/washroom with a sizeable shower. There's also a bookshelf with plenty to read, plus local guidebooks and listing magazines.
There is also a basic kitchen area (NO hob or oven) with microwave, kettle, toaster, Nespresso coffee machine, and a fridge, plus a DAB digital radio. We keep the fridge stocked with milk, and there's also cereal, tea, coffee and other basics for you to help yourself to.

Interaktion mit Gästen
There is a key safe outside the flat, so you can let yourself in and make yourself at home. We will normally leave you in complete privacy for the duration of your stay. However, our house is just next door, so please shout if you'd like us to show you around, explain anything to you, or just say hello! We know a lot about Sheffield and the surrounding countryside, so we will be very happy to recommend places for you to visit.
Weitere wichtige Infos
The mezzanine is accessed by a fixed ladder (slightly wobbly, but perfectly safe), not suitable for small children, the elderly, or those with limited mobility. There is also a small step up to the front door which means that the apartment is not great for wheelchair users.
Our neighbours may need access to the garages in the shared courtyard, so please ensure that your car is parked in the corner immediately outside the front door.
No smoking is allowed within the apartment or house.
We no longer allow pets for shorter stays. If you're staying for 1 week or more and want to bring pets, please contact us to make arrangements.
We can usually be flexible with check-in and check-out times, but this depends on whether we have somebody staying the night before or after you.
I'm a software developer by profession (writing software for the construction industry at Autodesk), but interested in pretty much anything and everything. I'm known in Sheffield for my gig photography and for my radio show, Empty Space, which broadcasts eclectic music, arts news, and interviews to the city. I love going to gallery openings, gigs, theatre, cinema and lectures. I'm a keen, though infrequent, cook, and I read a fair bit, both fiction and non-fiction.
Together with my wife Gill, I host Airbnb guests at our house in Sheffield.
