Liz‘s place is an authentic representation of a house in the middle of Bordeaux - it is historical and looks like a philosopher‘s place, just like she describes in the listing. At the time I was there the doorknob to the restroom was broken, which I found weird and irritating, and she only had very tiny leftover-like soap-bars (given on request), which I found inconsiderate. Still, she and her daughters are nice and helpful people, and the room was clean, so I assume she must have forgotten about these things. The location is brilliant for explorers, a great females-only hammam is just around the corner, and generally you can reach everywhere by foot - I found this very convenient as a tourist, especially when you like to eat out, come home late and don’t want to use public transportation. Also, you can hang out in their kitchen and living room without feeling weird and since she and her daughters were busy with work and studying, the house was quiet and my sleep was great.
