Die Unterkunft
This 2B/2B ground-floor condo offers guests an incredible getaway to the Mexican Caribbean. The condo complex, called El Faro, is located in the heart of Playa del Carmen just a block from the famous 5th Avenue. It’s a vacationer’s heaven. You won’t need a car at all. You can walk to just about everything up and down 5th Avenue or just relax at your luxurious condo, lounge and soak up the sun at the expansive pool just outside your door, or find that perfect sun lounger at the private beach in front of the complex.

The main spaces of the condo:
- Luxurious beach front condo with 2 comfortably-furnished bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms.
- Open-plan living area for togetherness time or a dinner and movie night at home.
- Dining area that comfortably accommodates 6 for a sit-down meal.
- Direct access to the back patio with views and access to the pool and ocean.
- Ground floor patio has a dining and lounge area w/a BBQ grill and lush lovely views.

The kitchen is fully equipped and ready to go, featuring:
- Refrigerator/freezer
- Oven and stovetop
- Microwave
- Coffee maker, toaster, and blender
- All dishes, cookware, utensils, etc.

Playa’s famous 5th Avenue is just up the street from the condo building. You’ll find a Starbucks on the corner and everything you need is just a short walk to get to. Convenient stores, bars, restaurants, souvenir and boutique shops, outdoor malls, fruit stands, grocery shopping, pharmacies, tour operators, and more. There’s even a Walmart within walking distance!

There are also so many different things to see and do around Playa del Carmen -- everything from the beach and beach clubs, water sports like snorkeling, scuba, paddle boarding, and boating, eco-parks with underground rivers, ancient Mayan ruins, cenotes (natural sinkholes special to this area!), private boat/yacht and fishing tours, golfing, day trips to Tulum or Cancun, and so much more!

El Faro Residences Administration requests a copy of the ID of all adult guests prior to your arrival. Access to the condo will not be granted unless this is provided in advance and no later than 1pm on the day of your check-in.

If you lose the key to the apartment, there is a $35 USD penalty (700 MXN).

No music is permitted after 11pm.

Security Deposit : A security deposit may be required prior to arrival or at check-in subject to the booking platform used to make the reservation. This fee is charged as a credit card transaction and refunded after check-out, provided all terms are met.

Due to COVID the following restrictions apply:
- Wearing mask is mandatory in the common areas, the pool or the gym.
- 2 visitors maximum per unit are permitted. For the visitors, the cost to use the amenities is $10 USD / $200 MXN per person and must be paid at the reception desk. You'll also need to leave a valid ID with reception until you're done using the amenity.
- Gym hours are Mon through Thurs 9 am to 5 pm & Fri through Sun 9 am to 8 pm and is by appointment only! Appointments need to be scheduled in advance at reception between the hours of 8 am & 6 pm. The maximum capacity in the gym is 4 people.
- Before your scheduled gym session, you must first leave your identification at reception, wear a mask, practice social distancing, and clean the exercise equipment in the gym after use.
- Pool hours are Monday through Friday 9 am to 5 pm & weekends 9 am to 8 pm and the use of a mask is mandatory.

This 1033-square-foot (96-square-meter) condo has 2 furnished bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms. The place can accommodate 4 adults in beds and up to 2 children in the living room sofa bed. **If you would like to add 2 children to your reservation you must let us know in advance so we can update your reservation accordingly as it requires us sending an alteration request.**

Wi-Fi, cable/satellite TV, bed linens, and towels provided free for all guests during your stay.

A daily allowance of 20Kw/Day of electricity is included for short term rentals. Additional consumption will be charged accordingly. Electricity is not included for bookings of 28 days or more. On arrival, our local team will take a meter reading, and again on departure. You will be billed after check out for any additional consumption. Help us save energy by using the AC only when needed, avoid leaving it on if you are not in the property and close all windows and doors when you use it.

Security Deposit:
A security deposit of $300.00 required upon your arrival and the amount will be returned to you before you check out, provided there’s no damage or anything requiring repair due to an incident during your stay.

There is no daily housekeeping service but the unit will be thoroughly cleaned prior to check-in. Mid-stay cleaning services can be requested for an additional fee. For longterm stays (21 nights or more) a mandatory fee of $30usd will be applied for mid stay cleaning.

Home and bath essentials -- items like toilet paper, soap, shampoo, paper towels, dish soap, sponge, and trash bags are not included. These supplies must be purchased and brought onsite by the guest.

This is a tropical environment, so you’re very likely to encounter insects and other pesky bugs, especially mosquitoes. We also recommend getting some repellent for during your stay.

Also important to note: Playa del Carmen area is a beautiful place, it does experience the occasional/seasonal sargassum on the beach from time to time that sometimes can be a bit unsightly and emit an unpleasant smell.

Whenever possible, the VIMEX local team will greet you in person and they will ask your signature on the Rental Agreement. We will send you the information covered on the Agreement once the reservation is confirmed so you can review it in advance.

There is one assigned parking space available. The parking space can only accommodate small cars and small SUVs. No pick-ups, trucks or vans. We are not responsible if the car you bring does not fit the parking space. The car park is under cover and it is self parking.

House Rules:
- Travelers must be at least 21 years of age or older to book.
- No smoking of any kind is allowed on the premises. Smoking tobacco, cannabis, or the use of any recreational drugs in the house is strictly prohibited. Failure to comply will incur a $300 penalty.
- No parties or events are permitted, illegal activity is prohibited, and excessive noise won't be tolerated. No loud music is allowed after 10 pm. Please be respectful of the neighbours.
- No more guests than those listed in your reservation are allowed. No tent or other structures may be set up on the ground of the property.
- Renters agree to cover any charge related to damages that occurred during their stay or cover necessary extra-cleaning charges if such is needed after their stay.
- Renters may be required to provide a government ID on the day of check in or during your stay.
- Please avoid moving furniture.
- Pets are not allowed.
- Check-in is not permitted unless a Government ID of all adult guests is sent prior to your arrival and no later than 1pm on the day of your check in.
