Rustic brook side cabin retreat near the charming town of Milford, PA.

Die Unterkunft
Charming brook side cabin on a dirt road just outside of historic Milford, PA -- relax and listen to the water. Hike from cabin to a waterfall (most likely you will have it all to yourself!). Very short drive or bike ride to historic town for good dining, galleries, and shopping. Five minutes from the Delaware River and State parks and more waterfalls! This is a great retreat from the City, you get to be in the woods, but with easy access to town amenities!

Sleeps 2 people* comfortably in loft bedroom (accessed by easy to navigate stepladder) which has a king size bed with a new memory foam mattress and beautiful linens.

Full small kitchen with coffee grinder and coffee maker, stove and oven, microwave, toaster, and fridge. Kitchen is stocked with pots, pans, dishes, just bring your own groceries (tea, coffee and some condiments are provided). Basic charcoal BBQ and BBQ utensils provided. Small tv with basic cable and dvd player. Offline 'game center' - cards, poker, checkers, puzzles, etc! Yoga mat, and even a hula hoop! Enclosed small porch with dining table for two and magic lanterns is practically over the brook, great place for morning coffee or a nite cap. Bathroom with shower, sink and incinolet electric toilet. Fresh linens, towels, and basic amenities such as dish soap, bath soap and shampoo, and bug spray are provided. There is a small AC downstairs to take the edge off humidity and a large fan upstairs. The cabin is rustic yet stylish and comfortable.

IMPORTANT

If you are interested in booking, please send a message addressing the following:

- Please acknowledge that you noticed that it is a rustic cabin with an electric toilet and a loft bedroom accessed by stepladder - both are easy to use, we just like to know that guests are aware.

- Please take a moment in your inquiry to tell me a little about yourself and your traveling companion and what you are looking for in your escape, and please share information regarding travelers COVID-19 risk levels and safety practices. Also, please agree to cancel your reservation if you are exposed to COVID-19 after booking or feel unwell before your travel dates, and we will give you a discount when you rebook. Thank you.

- Also, will need a statement indicating that you will not have any other guests or people on or inside the property.

Thank you in advance (and yes, I feel awkward and intrusive asking for all of this - just trying to do the best possible given current times).

I can share that we have a wonderful cleaning person! We are following the Air BnB cleaning protocol, using bleach spray on all commonly touch surfaces, Lysol on the furniture, and we have a dehumidifier and a small basic air purifier. The quality sheets and towels are white and are laundered in hot water with detergent and bleach.

If you have any questions or suggestions, reach out!

Outside on the property you will find a basic BBQ and a picnic table, fire pit (use carefully), lounge chairs to enjoy the babbling brook, and your own footbridge to cross the creek and find the hammock along the brook! Great for reading and napping. It is always about 10 degrees cooler than NYC up in Milford, and the woods are refreshing!

Area attractions include antiquing, hiking, canoeing, tubing, kayaking, horse back riding and great dining in the historic town of Milford, less five minutes away.

Once you book, you receive a Confirmation Email - click through on "Check In Instructions" to access the specific driving directions, house notes, and a guide to the area's attractions, activities, recommended dining, grocery, etc.

Approx 90 minute drive from NYC. Can be accessed via bus from NYC to Milford then taxi or nice long walk, or train to Port Jervis then taxi, or cycle.

Don't hesitate to contact us with any questions or help planning your visit!

KIDS? DOGS?
*This cabin is not appropriate for toddlers, but a tween could be accommodated on the chaise or our twin extra high air mattress. Not available for more than two adults because it is a small place and we want you to be comfortable!

And, indicate that you understand pets cannot be on the furniture, and that pets will not be able to access bedroom. In your reservation, please count the pup as an additional guest, and the fee is $25 a night. Thank you!

Chelsea and her dad Marty are from NYC and love to escape to Milford, PA. They have cabins on opposite sides of the babbling brook. Marty loves antiques, theater, film and wild gardens. Chelsea loves yoga, cooking, growing herbs and vegetables, as well as hiking, kayaking and chilling out with a good book. As hosts, we want our guests to enjoy themselves, the cabin and the area!! We tend to not want to bother our guests, but are available to help you plan your trip, answer any questions that come up, or provide extra condiments, etc. We are thrilled that Air BnB has given us the opportunity to share our special spot with awesome folks (Website hidden by Airbnb)
