Our house is in the picturesque medieval village of Duilhac-Sous-Peyrepertuse, just below a Cathar castle ruin. The house is on the edge of the tranquil village and boasts stunning views across the forested limestone hills from the 3 terraces. In Duilhac there's a boulangerie/shop and 4 restaurants/cafes. It's a walk/short drive away from the cascades, a stunning swimming spot and close to wine-tasting, pretty villages, castles and fantastic walks. It is perfect for families and big groups.
The spacious ground floor living space includes a large modern open plan kitchen (with washing machine and dishwasher), dining room and lounge. On the first floor there are three double bedrooms (two with breathtaking views and one with access to a private terrace) and one bedroom with bunk beds. There are two modern bathrooms on the first floor. One has a bath with shower and the other has just a shower. Both showers have very strong water pressure and both bathrooms have a WC. The fifth bedroom is on the ground floor and has a futon and access onto the terrace. All bedrooms have traditional French wooden shutters. Two travel cots are available to use. The main terrace has dining furniture, a pergola and a BBQ - perfect for al fresco dining on warm summer evenings.
