Welcome to this old art deco 1920s craftsmen home, nestled in the south end of Tacoma.
It's a clean space and conveniently located next to everything you need such as shopping, a supermarket and transportation. Wanna go to Seattle? Take a bus or Uber to the Sounder. Staying local? It’s close to lots of things to do and see.

Die Unterkunft
The house is a gem with hardwood floors, a fireplace, classic 1920's original hardware surrounded by cute little homes and all the major essentials. It's been in my family for more than 30 years! Old charm with lots of original features, I'm having fun updating this beauty, but it's a work in progress. So with that, you'll find quirky, but manageable characteristics such as one or two outlets per room, and a cottage-like kitchen.

Your room has two windows that allows natural light to come in. It's quiet, except for the occasional pitter patter of tiny puppy paws, but guests find that it's a relaxing and comfortable space.

You can expect a queen-size bed, access to fast WIFI, your own key to come and go as you wish, four comfortable pillows, access to a closet, armoire full of extra blankets and throws if you get chilly or if you just like being wrapped up and cozy. You'll also find an extra extension chord and an adapter.

I've been told my place is so welcoming and homey and the house, while older, comes equipped with everything you need, from a fully stocked kitchen, to gadgets that you may want that you won't find at a hotel!

I have a petite dog so I hope you don’t mind pooches.

Lage

Tacoma, Washington, Vereinigte Staaten

The neighborhood is one of those old charmers that was expanded for the post-WWII family. Pre-WWII houses like mine had just enough space for one family. That said, it's an old house with neat little quirks.

It's a racially, culturally and economically diverse neighborhood with a mixture of victorian beauties, deep-porch bungalows and ramblers.

It's ........
*2 1/2 minutes from Interstate 5, in between two freeway access points (56th and 38th Street exits).
*4 blocks from a major grocery store chain.
*4 1/2 minutes from an updated shopping mall and restaurants (Macy's, Nordstrom, Cheesecake Factory, Gap, Apple, etc).
*4 1/2 minutes from two different strip malls (REI, Costco, Half Price Books, Krispy Kreme, Cost Plus World Market, Petco, Buffalo Wild Wings, Pier One Imports and more!).
*5 minutes from a natural health food store and grocer called Marlene's.
*5 minutes from a small International District with many Vietnamese and Thai restaurants, and grocers.
*7 minutes to get to the growing hip and trendy downtown Tacoma area (University of Washington extension campus, Museum of Glass, Tacoma Convention Center, Chihuly Bridge of Glass, Tacoma Art Museum, Tacoma Dome for concerts and shows, LeMay - America's Car Museum), with a light rail and regional bus station that can take you into Seattle.

While it's suburban living, you won't believe how close you'll be to transportation, shopping, parks, city life, the waterfront, trails and entertainment!

Tacoma, over the past 20 years, has been booming and is promising as Seattleites are moving south and looking for space at a reasonable price. You'll find Tacoma to be a trendy, waterfront city, that has tons to offer for a night out and I think my home will be just the ticket to come back to for a restful night's sleep!

Hello, all. This sounds like an interesting way to rest your head. I am from the U.S. currently living in the PNW. I am really an easy going, all- around nice person who has lived in various conditions all over the world. I am not fussy, kind-hearted and very very respectful. I like to treat others how I like to be treated. That is how I prefer to live my life as it matters how we treat people. I own property and rent to tenants so I know how to care for and treat others property as I do not like my space to be mistreated or trashed. As far as my personal interests, needless to say, I love to travel, love peaceful surroundings, but I'm sometimes game for discussions on different views than my own, I have a sense of humor and can often laugh at myself, I like to read, and love good food, good wine (although I'm not a big wine connoisseur. I just know what I like)all with good friends and or family. There's really nothing I cant live without except the necessities in life that sustains us. Those necessities would be the obvious, like food and water, but one needs love too, yes? The love of friends and family is a need I can't live without. My favorite travel destination so far has been Italy, but I'm not done with the world, yet!
