Black Beach area or Playa Negra is located only 1 Km from downtown Cahuita, along the black sand beach you will find a few places to eat & drink. The Reggae Bar is the local's meeting point of preference, especially on Fridays when there is live music. Restaurant Sobre las Olas offers a variety of well-prepared dishes and an unbeatable view.

Otherwise, with a short 10 min walk or 5 min bike ride you are in downtown. Cahuita is the true essence of an authentic Caribbean town, slow-paced, warm locals, abundant nature, delicious food, and a very mellow and contagious relaxing vibe.

The National Park is the town's treasure, make sure you check Playa Blanca, Playa Puerto Vargas and Los Cativos Hike. Playa Negra is popular among locals and if you are looking for a less-visited beach then Playa Grande is your choice.
