Recently inspected and awarded the top grading available for a studio apartment, 4*. You can come as a couple or with a 2 small children or baby and enjoy staying in No. 3 from £80 a night mid week.
There is a double bed with egyptian cotton sheets and a mattress topper and then a settee that converts into a queen size bed big enough to comfortably sleep 2 young children or a truckle bed if staying longer than 2 nights.
The living area has a setee, bean bag and other seating, there is a flatscreen television with freeview, a dvd player and selection of dvd's for our guests.
The fully fitted kitchen area includes microwave, hob, oven, washing machine/tumble dryer, dishwasher and much more. There is a dining table and seating for 4.
The apartment has its own separate spacious shower room, with all bath sheets & towels provided and the guest toiletries are spa products from the Physicians of Myddfai, which are produced locally.

There is private off street parking for all guests of Mortimer House, which can be secured if required.
Each apartment has its own private entrance and No. 3 is on the first floor.

On booking you liaise with Natasha and she will arrange an arrival time and any specific set up requirements. At Mortimer House you will be shown around by Natasha or her assistant Beth and once comfortable, the only interaction is driven by you if you wish to get in toucn for any reason. There is no permanent resident at the property.

25 minutes drive to Hay on Wye for the annual Hay Festival. 15 minutes to Brecon for the Jazz Festival. 10 minutes to Abergavenny for the Food Festival. 20 minutes walk Glanusk Estate to the Green Man Festival. We have a castle ruin and wonderful little park with seating and nice views behind the house in the Castle grounds - big green space for picnics or family games.
The house has been refurbished to the highest possible standards and we expect our customer's behaviour to reflect this.

In 2008 my mother, a widow, was diagnosed with Alzheimer's. My brother, sister and I have set up Mortimer House to help fund our mother's ongoing care costs, enabling her to stay in her own home also in Crickhowell for as long as is physically possible. My husband, daughter (in the picture curling her grandma's hair) and I live just 4 miles away so that we can make sure mum gets the best care possible.
I also help my brother out by organising the rental of his villa in Seminyak, Bali. We all go there together for family holidays as we are spread around the world and it is the perfect place for us all to catch up, with the wonderful Made and her team looking after us. Heaven.
