Weitere wichtige Hinweise
Please verify your government ID (a simple process of uploading) and fill in your profile before you request to book as this helps create trust and transparency in the Airbnb community. Thanks!

Unfortunately, our studio is not handicap accessible, which was our original intent but in the end, it didn't make the cut.

We love children so we do welcome them, but this is a very small space... if you are traveling with one child, our small studio futon sofa does lay out to sleep another person.

The studio space is too small for more than 2 adult size people to sleep comfortably, but if you are a party of 3 and the 3rd doesn't mind sleeping on the futon couch we welcome you at $25. extra per night for the 3rd person.

We don't provide breakfast but there is organic coffee, teas, sugar, honey, and half and half, along with a coffee grinder and french press to accommodate your morning caffeine needs.

We don't expect you to scrub the place spotless before you leave but we don't want to clean up your messes either. Please leave the studio in the same shape you would leave after visiting the home of a friend. The $25. cleaning fee helps to cover the basics we take care of after you leave—washing the linens, vacuuming and mopping, stocking the coffee and teas, making the bed etc.

The City of Chico, as many cities, has a 10% Transient Occupancy Tax (TOT) on all short term rentals which is generally paid by guests. We cover this tax for you so there will be no added charge.

Lage

Chico, Kalifornien, Vereinigte Staaten

Located southwest of downtown Chico, the Barber Neighborhood is an older, vibrant, diversified, residential neighborhood that was originally a settlement built to house the employees of the adjacent Diamond Match Factory. The neighborhood was named after Ohio Columbus Barber, president of the Diamond Match Company. There are many notable and historic structures in the neighborhood which is in walking distance of downtown and CSU Chico. Chico boasts many neighborhood parks with the Rotary Park, just two blocks away. You will find a several free lending libraries (open 24/7) and a community garden in our neighborhood also. There is a small Farmer's Market just one block away on Wednesdays. The famous Sierra Nevada Brewery is approximately one mile away: (website hidden)
Be sure to check out beautiful Bidwell park with Little Chico Creek, that runs through the heart of Chico as well as through Chico State campus. Both lower and upper Bidwell Park offer miles of scenic walking/hiking/biking as well as many popular swimming holes.

I am a licensed psychotherapist with a private practice in downtown Chico. My husband, Jerry, is the director of Fair Street Recycling, part of the Work Training Center which hires developmentally disabled clients. He is also a professional musician who plays with several local bands. I am a Chico native, and Jerry is a Jersey boy who moved here at the age of 18, right after attending Woodstock. Our children are grown and our grandchildren are ages 5 through 20 years. We enjoy traveling, music, good food, good wine, spending time with family, good friends and good scotch. Remodeling our detached garage into an Airbnb studio has been a wonderful adventure and we are happy to share the results of our labor with you as our guests!

Minimal interaction is required but we'll be there to meet and greet you, and introduce you to the space, answer any questions that you may have and hand you the key! We enjoy meeting new people and making new friends so depending on our availability and yours, a greater level of interaction is possible but not guaranteed or expected. We are happy to answer any questions and make suggestions/referrals to help you meet your needs during your stay in Chico. We appreciate a mutual respect of privacy and going with the flow. If a new friendship develops, all the better. If not, that's cool too.
