I am really sorry that your stay did not go as you would have liked.
It is important for me to know that my guests have a beautiful stay.
That's why I keep constant contact via messaging: I need to make sure everything is fine.
Regarding the smell of cigarette you describe, since the apartment has been rented continuously between April and July , without any discomfort of this type being even mentioned, I admit that your message late at night surprised me a lot and really worried me aswell.
Reading your message, I immediately looked for a solution:
since you were specifically talking about the smell of cigarettes on the bed and the pillows, I naturally suggested to bring new ones the next morning. Another duvet was also planned.
You finally told me it was not worth it, and then you left me without further communication. I don’t know if you tried to call the Concierge Service that can assist you 24/7 ? Once again, I am really sorry about that. If you wish to give me more information about that point, you are welcome to do so of course.
Having received no other comment of this type before or after your stay, and having not even noticed any cigarette smell after your departure, I am still in a true concern to really take into account your experience and sensibility. Therefore I had the walls and floor washed, as well as the fabric, the apartment was ventilated for three days, and new pillows were bought.
However, instead of spraying ton of febreeze which is a product that contains 89 chemicals, it seems to me a lot healthier, easier and nicer to open the three big windows to create a natural breeeze in the apartment, if only to cool the air in the summer season. One breathes and sleeps a lot better, and as the environment is very quiet, all you risk is hearing the birds sing when you wake up in the morning.
