Let start with the good, both hosts were quick to communicate via text and when we met Austin later that night ( we checked in while he was at work ) he was very friendly. Also the location was great, we were close to everything, about a 17min walk to local breweries.
Now for the unpleasant, lets start with the host gave me the wrong address. The address that was supplied did not even exists. Then when entering the home the whole place smelled strongly of axe body spray. When I went to use the bathroom there was no soap, one wet towel, and only half a roll of towel paper. We booked for two nights so this was not a great surprise. I searched through the house and found a liquid soap in the kitchen that was 75% water, but it would have to do. But we figured it was only two nights, we could make it work. Later that evening when we met Austin I mentioned to him that there was no soap in the bathroom and we took the one from his kitchen and he just said ok. He did not seem concerned with it. So we went to bed... It went down hill fast though when we realized at 1am that we were both sweating through our clothes because it was so hot inside his home. We found the thermostat and turned it to 50 degrees and the air did not kick on. We waited about a half hour before we started looking through the house for a fan, which did not find. We decided we couldn't take it anymore and (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN)d a meijer and headed out around 3am to buy a fan. I'd also like to mention that we were both in a wedding in the morning so sleep was super important that night. Once we got back I got on airbnb and booked a room at another house a couple blocks away, and at 6am we woke up and left. I called airbnb and cancelled our room and the host did not reimburse us for the night we did not stay.
