Charles' Cottage is a traditional stone cottage dating back to the 1860s. There are lots of charming original features including exposed stone walls and beams. Charles is extremely cosy and welcoming and provides the perfect base for exploring the Brecon Beacons and the historic market town of Brecon. Located in the centre of town on a quiet no-through road, Charles is a stone's throw from the tranquil Brecon to Monmouth canal and the theatre.
The town centre is only a 5 minute walk away.
There are 2 bedrooms in Charles' Cottage. The single bedroom and bathroom are both accessed through the double bedroom which is very common in a cottage the age of Charles.
The kitchen is very well equipped with everything you need to make a delicious meal. The beds are fully made with good quality linen and there are towels for all guests to use.
I leave essentials like 1 x toilet roll, kitchen roll and cleaning supplies. I also leave a small welcome tray with tea, coffee and local biscuits.
The cosy living room has a smart TV, with access to catch up TV, freeview channels and Netflix. It also has an inbuilt DVD player.
There is a good Wifi connection throughout the cottage.
There is a shed in the garden which guests can access to store bikes. Please warn me in advance so I can leave you the key.

All areas of the house, including the garden are exclusively for guest's use and are not shared with anyone else. The back garden is wonderfully private and is a real sun trap!

Weitere wichtige Infos
Please note that as this is a period property there is a fairly steep wooden spiral staircase up to the first floor. There is a handrail provided. If you have infants then please do bring your own stair gate with you.
Sadly not many 1860s cottages are wheelchair friendly and, regrettably, Charles is no exception.
The other important thing to note is that Charles Street is a narrow Victorian street so please do park considerately, whilst bearing in mind that emergency vehicles must be able to make their way down the street 24 hrs a day.
