Can't beat the location of this condo--the ocean is right outside the front door, with an access path right next to the building. We were there for NJ firefighters' weekend, so the property and surrounding hotels/motels were full despite it being past peak season. Our toddler enjoyed seeing all the trucks, and the firefighters and their families brought a really nice vibe to the town.
Terry's condo was as advertised and true to the pictures. The decor was dated and pretty bare bones, but we didn't expect luxury accommodations going in. Everything was pretty clean for the most part, although there were some hairs in the bathroom when we arrived. The a/c worked well to cool the space, and there were floor-to-ceiling picture windows in the living room and bedroom to look out at the ocean from inside. A screened storm door could be opened let in the breeze and the sound of the ocean.
My only real issue was that on our first full day, we opened a watermelon and within half an hour of leaving it on a plate in the kitchen, an infestation of ants appeared on the counter, all over the sink, and from the fridge to the counter. When I emailed Terry, she took several hours to respond, and when she did, she just said she was "a bit surprised" and that there was ant poison under the sink that we could use. Since we have a small child, we did not want to spray poison all over the kitchen, which is in the center of the unit and could not be blocked off. We opted to just toss the fruit and kept every food item in the fridge for the rest of our stay. Not a huge deal, but it would have been nice if she offered another solution or even a simple apology that we had to deal with so many ants (I know they aren't cockroaches, but still).
All in all, a fine place in a fantastic location. I'd definitely recommend, especially if, unlike me, the sight of a lot of bugs doesn't faze you.
