What a fabulous find!!
Patty kept in communication when needed and Gordon offered us a warm and friendly welcome on our arrival. He showed us around the accommodation and then left us to it!
Upstairs, is the actual living space. Kitchen: large, all you would need for short or long self-catering stay. We would recommend you bring supplies as no convenience store nearby. We didn't need to for our short stay as we were out all day. Dining chairs & small round table. Dishwasher was not working for our visit however it was not needed! Items for washing up and plenty of crisp tea-towels were in abundance. Breakfast items were provided of high quality and complimentary bottle of fizz in the tabletop fridge - lovely touch!
Lounge: really homely, comfortable and spacious. 2x large cosy sofas to cuddle up onto, TV on stand, music speakers and fast internet for the techy-bits was great. Massive room with fireplace/hearth as a feature, we used our candles which added to the relaxing, homely feel! At the end of our full day's exploring (walking, sight seeing, climbing, driving and more walking!!!) to come home was pure joy in this wonderful calm environment.
Bedroom: Wow -bed was mega comfortable and a firm mattress secured a fabulous nights sleep. The crisp cotton bed linen was pure luxury..we didn't want to leave the bed to tell the truth!! To open the light and airy curtains each morning was a joy..the sprawling country grounds through every window.
En-suite bathroom: Well - more luxury. Roll-top bath was heaven to lay in ( a tad on the small side) and the shower a little difficult to use, if you didn't want to wet the floor..!! But again, quality materials used made you feel very special. We so highly recommend this accommodation for a reasonably priced stay. We loved our time here.
