Peacock House is on our family farm (2.5 acres) with private access to Kaneohe Bay. The house is in a shaded area with lovely garden views. You walk along a garden path, welcomed by our pet birds, to a lovely spot on the ocean.

We live onsite and are available 24/7. With the new ordinance for Oahu, currently we are only able to book the house once per month. Please inquire with your dates (even if they are less than 30 days) and we will be glad to accommodate you.

Die Unterkunft
The guesthouse is located on our family property, in the small special area known as Hakipu’u. We live in another home on the property, which includes our 2 acre flower and goldfish farm, RainGarden Ornamentals.
Walk down the lush garden path to look out at Chinaman’s Hat and Kaneohe Bay from our private beachfront. From the house you look out through trees and tropical landscape. The property is a bird lovers dream; we have two peacocks (pikake), and other assorted feathered friends that roam the farm...guinea hens, ducks, chickens. Songbirds call, especially in the morning from nearby Monkeypod trees and a few jungle fowl roosters will most likely crow and our peacocks call during mating season. My favorite song is that of the shama trush, they will often perch nearby as if they are curious about you.
Our beachfront is not the best swimming beach but you can paddle out 5 minutes to a lovely sandy beach that provides a nice walk past “Secret Island” to Kualoa Beach Park. There are 2 plastic kayaks (one single and one double), a flat bottom canoe and two stand-up paddle boards at our beach for your use. The main reef is approximately 1 mile out providing a very large safe area for exploring. You can even paddle out to Chinaman’s Hat and hike to the top of the Island or enjoy snorkeling at patches of coral reef (out near cannel markers) inside the Bay.
The single-family plantation home was built in the 1940's- she shines with her history as well as updates. The bedroom has a king size bed and fold-down chaise. In the side room is a large twin daybed, dining table and built-in desk with large screen TV. The kitchen is open into the living area which has a couch, chairs and a coffee table. The furniture was chosen with style as well as RELAXATION in mind. The kitchen is well equipped, but if you don't feel like cooking there are a few restaurants and lunch wagons nearby. Just down the road is our "Origin" Bakeshop with true French pastry and cookies and coffee, 'Waikane Store" with homemade local snacks and a few basic groceries, 'Waiahole Poi Factory' serves Hawaiian Plate Lunch; Uncle Bobo's is a very casual restaurant just north in Ka'a'awa with great lunch (additional recommendations in guestbook).
The house has one bathroom with an antique cast iron tub. There is an outdoor shower, next to the house, which is perfect for when you come up from the beach or want to shower under the stars.
The backyard is lush with various gardens, flower production areas and goldfish ponds. We will be happy to give you a tour of our production areas during your visit. Hawaii is the tropics, so you may encounter an occasional gecko (considered good luck by many). Our property is in a very lush area of the Island, so we do sometimes have mosquitoes (repellent and outdoor candles provided). The house is well screened, but you do need to keep the screen doors closed. We want to make your stay perfect and we want to be sure you are prepared for a true Hawaiian stay! Down at the beachfront is a covered structure with porch furniture, sink and gas grill…a great spot to enjoy the views, unwind and enjoy a cold drink or meal.
Upon arrival you will find an arrangement of fresh tropical flowers from our farm. Also wanting to 'show off' some other Hawaiian grown products; you will find an array of locally grown fruits, coffee, sugar and even North Shore grown chocolate to greet you on arrival.
We look forward to welcoming you to our guesthouse, 'E komo mai'!

Zugang für Gäste
You will be welcomed to make yourselves at home and you will have plenty of privacy too.

Weitere wichtige Hinweise
It is the tropics so best to keep food items sealed up so as not to attract ants and keep your crunchy food crunchy. We have plenty of Tupperware, plastic bags and a large refrigerator for storage.

Someone is usually always home. We are a Mom and Pop operation so pretty busy working on the farm; but most always available if you need something.
