CH Coach House is a beautiful 18thcottage, within the 100 acre private gated estate of Carnfield Hall.
Ideally suited for Couples, Families and commuters.
A fabulous getaway for those looking for a quiet retreat or who want to become involved on the farm, and enjoy the private woodland walks.
Dogs welcome, although not upstairs, Pet hydrotherapy centre on site
Carnfield Hall Cottage is ideal for country lovers, with a downstairs wet room, to hose down after a long and muddy walk!
There's 60 acres of farm land, (inhabited by Llamas, highland cattle, peacocks and a naughty sheep) and 40 acres of woodland, which are particularly spectacular when the blue bells are out!
Zugang für Gäste
Guests can have access to the full estate, (except for private gardens) although at times small areas of woodland may be prohibited as there is ongoing management work. There is a play area at the front of the hall, and a trampoline submerged in the ground- children are welcome to use under supervision.
The cottage has its own substantial private back garden, so guests can choose to enjoy a more private escape if they are looking for a quiet retreat.
Upon request, guests can have a tour of the 500 year old, 2* listed Hall, where we can give you some insight to the history of the estate, and the people who have lived there before us.
Interaktion mit Gästen
We are both home at weekends and usually have frequent visitors to join the fun at Carnfield. The cottage is far enough away for guests not to be disturbed by the chaos we cause- but they are more than welcome to join in! We often have the other tennant's join us for an evening meal, everyone contributing a parcel of food- and sit in the large dinning room to enjoy wine and conversation.
Although Graham is at work most days during the week, I am about, and happy to help in anyway to ensure you enjoy your stay.
Weitere wichtige Infos
There is a dog temperature hose to clean your pooch after a walk and a canine hydrotherapy centre on site. To use the hydro, guests would need to book in advance and there is an additional cost.
- You are more than welcome to join us when we feed the llamas or manage the highland cattle, but will need to give
us 24 hrs notice to become involved!
There is £35 cleaning fee following a stay.
My partner Graham and I have lived at Carnfield Hall for the last 6 years, and are slowly attempting to restore the estate to its former glory, whilst incorporating some of the essential mod cons and luxuries of modern day living. We have 3 children between us- a 17 year old, a 2 year old and a 5 month old. Weekend life on the ranch is always fun, mostly busy and usually surrounded by guests who share the good times! Our trusted Labrador, Wilberforce has free roam round the estate and can often be found stealing the odd bacon buttie from anyone not paying full attention!
