Close to Cromer and its lovely beach, historic market town of Aylsham, National Trust Blickling and Felbrigg (15 mins). A newly renovated 19th Century Wesleyan Chapel with beautiful views over common land, currently full of orchids and flag irises. Daily we see a barn owl, wood peckers, kestrels, and a range of small birds.

This is a beautiful area for walking and cycling. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travellers, and families (with kids). Wifi installed but slow.

Der Wohnraum

We did the renovation ourselves. It's a family annexe and much love went into making it as beautiful a space as possible. As well as the beautiful views, it has wonderful high ceilings and can light up like a lantern during sunset. It is incredibly quiet here, you will hardly hear a car go by and the nights are dark (amazing for star gazing).

The Chapel is completely self contained and the kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering. The space is well insulated and keeps very warm, has full central heating.

The space is comfortable for 3 people, but 4 is doable, particularly for shorter stays or if 2 are kids/happy to share a bed, the second bedroom is small. Note that the small room double bed is a bunk with a step up to it. The main bedroom would fit a travel cot. Possibly not big enough for 4 adults unless you plan to be out a lot and are happy to squeeze in.

Zugang für Gäste

The annexe is separate from the house, so during your trip it's all yours. Has off road parking for up to 2 cars.

Happy to offer help and advice about the local area, pubs, cycle routes, beaches. I love this part of North Norfolk and am happy to share and hear your tips too, there's always something new to discover.

Weitere wichtige Infos

We have just installed wifi, though it is patchy and can be slow and you may be happy without it here. There is very little mobile reception (a walk up the lane helps), but that's the same in most of Norfolk!

We really enjoyed our stay in Hannah's Chapel. It's a very peaceful spot. The house is full of light: airy and uncluttered but very well equipped. We found it a very relaxing place to stay, and would thoroughly recommend it to other visitors. There's a network of quiet local lanes that are great for walking. We particularly enjoyed the waymarked footpath to the National Trust property at Blickling - which is a 3.5 mile walk.

Perfect for a weekend away, when you are in and out quite a lot. Very clean and sweet. Just note there is no toaster or microwave in the kitchen!

Visited with a family of four. We had a very comfortable stay at the chapel which is set in a tranquil part of Norfolk. On a clear night we were lucky enough to see some of the perseid meteor shower as well. We had a great sunny day at Cromer beach. Hannah recommend lunch at the Rocket Cafe in Cromer, which was very nice indeed. Also had a nice walk along the Norfolk Coast Path from Blakeney (coffee at grey seal coffee is recommended!). Blickling Estate is nearby and worth paying a visit to. Enjoyed our stay very much, thank you Hannah!

Hannah's place is lovely! Very quiet and everything was as described in the listing. Beds are comfortable and cosy, I actually really liked the small bedroom as it was so snug! Perfect location for either a relaxing get away or a good base for exploring. Didn't get to meet Hannah as arrived late then had a wedding on the Saturday, but her communication was excellent with extremely fast responses, and a very thorough note for arrival which detailed everything about the chapel so we had no questions. Thank you!

We loved waking up with a view of the common. Hannah has made the chapel a special place to stay and we would love to return again one day. The location is great for cycling with pretty lanes and villages; and not far from the sea at Cromer.

I am passionate about food and am in the process of starting an Organic market garden. I love nature, birds, insects, wild flowers. Weekends in Norfolk are spent (if not working!) walking, going to the beach, meeting friends at lovely local country pubs. Have just moved back from London after 20 years away, am loving remembering how beautiful this part of the world is!
