We booked here for a week, but unfortunately had to leave a day early due to a family emergency back home.
This place has a lot of character and is decorated nicely. You're on the second level of the building. It has an older feel to it, which adds to the character. The wooden floors make a lot of noise when walking, we found ourselves tip-toeing in case there was anyone below us. (We didn't see any lights on below us the entire week)
The location is great and is in a nice neighborhood, we felt safe there and didn't worry about our vehicle being parked out front. Neighbors waved as we unpacked the car. If you're in town for a game, we were able to get downtown within 15 minutes depending on traffic. Easy access to the Interstate is a major plus. There is also a lot of amenities close by, groceries and places to grab a bite to eat.
Check-in was easy, the host was quick to respond. We met briefly, she seemed very friendly and didn't bother us during our stay.
Our only issue was the noise. Although the train noise is mentioned in the description and none of the reviews said they weren't bothered by it, we found the train to be very loud -- enough that it'd wake us up or loud enough that you'd pause your Movie and wait for it to pass. Obviously everyone will be different with the train noise.
We love dogs and have one at home, so barking doesn't usually bug us. However the host does have a dog on-site that barked for long periods in the morning, which woke us up every morning. Not a huge deal, but between the train and the dog barking, we didn't get much sleep on our vacation.
We liked this place and if we were staying for 1 or 2 nights, it would have been perfect for us as the noise would have been just a minor inconvenience, but staying for a longer period we found the noise to be bothersome.
Don't let that stop you though, as the place is in a great location, spacious and well decorated. As mentioned above, we seem to be the only reviewers who felt the noise was an issue.
