Converted from an old stable block the accommodation is spacious, quirky light and airy with a distinctive and interesting full length arched window in the reception area.
The views are stunning, panoramic and the sunsets are glorious.

A cruel and sly woman who has taken our young (and frankly hard up) family's money and used the minutia of AirBnB to keep it. Stay clear of this woman and her home - she is a stain on the very word "host" and the whole notion of hospitality.

Richard made a confirmed booking of my listing on a Saturday morning (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) having been cancelled by a previous host. Richard knew at the time of booking that he would not be able to claim a full refund if he cancelled my listing as he was making the booking not even 2 days prior to intended arrival . I operate Airbnb's moderate policy for cancellations. At lunch time I received a message from Richard advising that his previously cancelled booking had become available and he intended to try and secure it again. I naturally assumed he would cancel the booking of my listing once he had re-secured the other listing. Later that evening I saw I had still not seen a cancellation message from AirBNB so I wrote a message to Richard advising him that he needed to contact AirBNB and cancel the booking for the Stables. Through Sunday I had still not seen a cancellation message, so I assumed Richard either had not managed to secure the other listing after all, or wished to keep his options open in case it was cancelled again. On Monday morning (the day Richard was due to arrive) in the absence of receiving any cancellation message I contacted AirBNB support centre to ask them to try and contact Richard to find out what was going on and if Richard was coming to the Stables or not. AirBNB also tried to contact Richard and did so by phone and written message. This is what AirBNB had to say about my efforts to try and get Richard to cancel. Quote Hello Veronica, This is Ton. It was a pleasure speaking on the phone with you. Please be assured that you did everything right by trying to explain Richard that he needs to cancel the reservation if he is not coming today. The only thing we can do now, is for me to try to contact him and explain what he needs to do. I will inform you later with the outcome. Thank you for being such an excellent superhost with Airbnb. With kind regards, Ton 27 Aug (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) Unquote AirBNB wrote me a further message on Tuesday as Richard had not responded to their phone or written messages. Quote Hello Veronica, I have just tried to call you and I have left a voice message. I wanted to let you know that I have had contact with Richard and that I have informed him about the cancellation policy. I informed him that he has the possibility to cancel the reservation if he wants to obtain a refund. If he does so, he will be refunded according to your moderate cancellation policy. At this moment, he has not cancelled the reservation as yet. I also explained that if he requires an additional refund, that this is only possible with your authorization. I believe that we can safely close this case for now, but if you have any further questions, please let me know within the next 24 hours when this case will be closed automatically. If assistance is needed after 24 hours, just refer to ticket numb (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) and inform my colleague that you would like the case manager to contact you and I will be happy to do so. Thank you for your understanding and trust in Airbnb. With kind regards, Ton 28 Aug (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) :20 Richard did not in the end cancel the reservation until 1 hour prior to his departure date. This meant he had blocked out the possibility of anyone else booking my listing for the whole of his confirmed booking dates, which meant there was no possibility for mitigating my losses over this period. Richard was therefore in the end not entitled to any refund. Had Richard cancelled on the Saturday when I first advised him he needed to contact AirBNB to cancel he would have been entitled to a partial refund. Sadly Richard sought to opt out of all responsibility for making a confirmed booking, not responding to any of my or AirBNB's attempts to advise him to cancel etc. and then seeks to blame the host for his own failure to cancel. A very immature reaction to a situation entirely of his own making.
