A cosy and modern studio-style wooden chalet with panoramic hill views, right in the heart of the beautiful Loch Lomond & the Trossachs National Park. Located in the small, tranquil and idyllic village of Brig o' Turk, surrounded by stunning nature including mountains, woodlands, lochs and rivers.
Open-plan studio with 1 double bed (queen size) and a mezzanine area with 2 single beds (suitable for older children and nimble adults only). Bed sheets are provided.
Double sofa, comfy chairs, and a table/dining area that seats 4. Modern en-suite shower room (all basics provided including towels and hairdryer) with underfloor heating. Small kitchenette with hot plates, microwave/grill, kettle, toaster, small fridge, pots/pans, and cutlery/crockery. Tea, coffee, sugar, milk, salt and pepper provided but no breakfast.
Outside the chalet there is a large terrace with several cosy seating areas and a large fishpond.
The chalet has no TV but offers books, magazines and board games for you to enjoy a relaxing retreat. I also provide walking guides/maps of the local area. There is a radio/CD player with a selection of CDs.
Wifi is available in the chalet but note that our internet connection is slow here in the village. Mobile phone reception is generally weak in this area and there may not be reception inside chalet, only outside. There is no G4 network in this area.
Enjoy the wildlife and stunning nature within Glen Finglas Estate and Queen Elizabeth Forrest Park, great for walking, hiking, mountain biking and fishing. Or just relax and enjoy the tranquillity and beautiful views from the chalet terrace.
For angling enthusiasts I offer exclusive guided trout and pike fishing tours on beautiful Loch Katrine, just 10 minutes away by car. The loch is steeped in history and legend as the birth place of Rob Roy, and was made famous by Sir Walter Scott in his poem 'Lady of the lake'.
Loch Katrine can also be enjoyed on a scenic steamship cruise, walk or bicycle ride along its shores (bicycle hire is available at the Trossachs pier).
Or visit the David Marshall Lodge in nearby Aberfoyle for Go Ape treetop zip wire adventures, or Go Country by Loch Ard for kayaking and other water sport/outdoor activities.

My wife and I live on the premises but the chalet is up in our garden, separate from our house. I'm happy to interact with and support guests with helpful recommendations and local information, but will otherwise leave them to enjoy their stay in private.
