Unfortunately, I stay here was not that great. We were delayed in arriving, but upon arrival, we found that we had been placed in a room that we had not booked. As there were 3 of us, we had booked a room that could accommodate all of us. We were given a room that was for 2 people all attempts to reach the host went unanswered, including that of the staff from the bar below who showed us up to the room.
One of us was going to have to sleep on the floor, as three people could not fit into 2 single beds. However, the staff member was able to find a folding bed to put into our room. That left us with very little room to move in the room, but it at least solved the 3rd bed issue.
I had messaged the host a few times that night about the situation, and had received no response at all, even now. Nothing to say he was sorry about it, or he accidentally told the staff member the wrong room because he made an assumption that it was just to be my husband and I, rather than me and 2 friends, even though I had specifically booked for 3 people.
Even with all of this, the room ended up being a disappointment. I was under no illusions that I was booking something fantastic. It was bare bones, which was what we needed as we only needed a place to sleep. But it looks like only the center portions of the room are only ever cleaned, because there were spiders and their webs in the corners by the head of the beds, on the windows in the room and the bathroom, and the bathroom really only had the toilet and sink clean. The shower had hair and dust, the floor who knows what, and the window was dusty and strung with spider webs and spiders.
To be sure, this is a very basic room. It was all we required, which is why we had booked it.
This has, unfortunately, been the worst experience I've had with any host or stay. I doubt I would have had such issues with the cleanliness had we gotten the room we booked. But the complete lack of acknowledgement of mistake or an apology is quite glaring.
