Serene sanctuary meets clean lines and simplicity. Come enjoy the yoga room (classes ten a.m. Weekends). Learn to pole dance in the disco lounge. Sun bathe at the pool or make art with me. Ranch home, nestled on a quiet cul-de-sac 5 mins. from the best restaurants, theater, sightseeing and more! The Civic Center Park is full of events and I walk there every day. Come and paint lotuses with me so I can fill the theme room with art. Meditate in the dedicated yoga room.
The grand bathroom is across the hall and filled with everything from razors to lotions, soaps to tooth brushes.
Most of the year this bathroom is completely yours. In high season you might share bathroom with a guest down the hall in the desert star lounge bedroom .We are really living the dream out here. This 1800 square foot mid century ranch home is truly a diamond in the desert.
Your bedroom has lots of light and has a fantastic bed with a dreamy mattress. You will sleep like a baby. If your party is larger,I can set up the double airbed in the room.
There are four bedrooms here. My other listings are named Desert Rose, w/ private bathroom and Desert Star Lounge. I am so grateful to be here on the best block in the desert. Let me share it with you.
November is cold and flu season friends. If you have a cold it is better to cancel your trip than bring it with you. I have equipped the house with medicines, throat lozenges and disinfectant. Use them liberally. In the summer months make sure to drink plenty of water so that you don't get dehydrated. In summer the forced air system cools the house to degrees between 82 (most of the day) and 87 during the hottest part of the afternoon.

You have your own shelf in the refrigerator to store food. I also made room in the pantry for your dry goods. Guests love contemplating the human condition in the meditation room.
Its usually warm outside even in winter. The the pool is refreshing in November and some guests swim in January but, I think its cold then.
I added lounge chairs for sunning and giant umbrellas with tables and chairs out in the backyard. Take a nap or stargaze in the hammock.
I teach pole dance on site. Please inform me ahead of time if you want a lesson in dance, yoga or art. Bring acrylics if you want to paint with me. Please park on the street, not on the gravel. Bicycles can go in the garage.

There is always some fun going on around here. Some days it is quiet and I can be found lounging out back or cat napping in my room. There are times when I will be out and you will check yourself in. I am very good at leaving you to your business or chatting it up at the bar in the kitchen.
I always put out treats like bagels, muffins, fruit every morning. Oh yes there is gourmet coffee any time of day or night.
If you see something amiss or have any concerns, do not be afraid to communicate. I am very accessible and eager to fix, clean, get, make any reasonable request happen. Communication is the key in all things. don't you agree?

My house was built in 1971. I am always upgrading and beautifying it.
I clean daily. Sweeping, mopping and dusting. I take great care in providing a sanitary environment for my guests.
Please be kind when critiquing my home. Remember, this is not a hotel. Its value and uniqueness is far from that. Think before you book. Do you want a hotel experience or a home style experience?
If you are here to give my house the white glove treatment, look elsewhere. This is a working artist, yoga studio with lots to do. Pitch in on clean up if you want to. I will never refuse a helping hand. the internet will be off from June through August so that we can unplug from city pressures to enjoy meditation and nature.
I hate rules. I find that the more guests I have, the more strict rules get in order to keep everyone happy. I have also found that you can't please everyone all of the time. The bottom line here is this: do your thing and have fun doing it. Everyone makes messes, mistakes, love and friends. I invite you to be yourself here. I know I am.
This is an adult house. Please no guests under 18 years of age.
No drunken behavior. Please be kind to mother earth and turn off lights when not in use.
Do not touch the forced air system. It is set at 82 degrees i the summer months when it is 116 degrees outside. Currently (October) the ambient temperature inside is usually between 70 and 79. You have a fan in your room and may open a window for cross breeze. Make sure you lock it when you go out. I keep the booking prices at a great value this way. If you need it colder, the price of your booking escalates.
You may be sharing a bathroom with another guest so, be courteous. Clean up after yourself please. I am not a clean freak but, other guests might be. I'm just sayin...
Please shorten your shower time if we have many guests during the Coachella Music Festival. You must rinse out the shower after each use and be sure to get your hair out of the hair trap in the bath tub. Lately guests have been abusing this rule. You will be given strict reprimand for leaving messes. I will charge you a hefty cleaning fee if somebody complains about your messiness in the common areas. The health of other guests is worth being respectful of. Just do it.
If your stay is more that a couple of days, I will ask you if your room needs a sweep. it is dusty here in the desert. clean up after yourself in the common areas. There are cleaning products in your bathroom and in the kitchen. There maybe times when I go out of town and I will ask you to kindly change the sheets on the bed your self. Most guests really enjoy doing that it gives them the feeling of being part of the Airbnb family.
Leave your worries at the door and relax.
No cooking fish or bacon. It stinks up the whole house. Do not put grease down the sink and scrape off your dishes into the trash can, not the sink.
Only toilette paper goes in the toilette, nothing else. Turn off lights and fans when not in use. No food or beverages in your rooms. It attracts ants. If you are wet from the pool sit outside, not on my velvet inside furniture. Wow! That is a lot of rules! Trust me you will appreciate this when you stay.
Visitors that are not booked may not enter my home. Remember to leave the house key in the lock box at all times. If you need a bedroom key, ask me for one.
DO NOT PARK ON THE GRAVEL. PARK ON THE STREET BABE. Leave room for the postman to deliver my mail. I will invite you to park in the driveway once you arrive.
It is cold and flu season friends. If you have a cold it is better to cancel your trip than bring it with you. I have equipped the house with medicines, throat lozenges and disinfectant.
