Walkers Rest at The Hayloft - The Brecon Beacons

Nestled in the beautiful Brecon Beacons National Park, this recent addition to an (ex) 1800s pub is a cosy yet spacious self catering space. Opposite an old church with views across the valley it offers an an ideal getaway with walks in every direction and outdoor activities (canoeing, climbing, horse riding) further afield. Local events include: The Abergavenny Food Festival, Crickhowell Walking Festival, Haye Literary Festival, The Green Man. The village is two miles away with shops and pubs.

The cottage, opposite the Cathedral, adjoins one of Brecon's finest Georgian buildings, Grade II listed Priory Hill House, with which it shares a lovely half-acre garden on the banks of the River Honddu, with spectacular views of Pen y Fan. It’s perfect for couples to relax or a small family to get out and about. There is plenty of local woodland walks on the doorstep and yet only 2 miles from the local market town of Leominster with its shops and pubs. What more could you ask for? Welcome to The Potting Shed! A cosy couples retreat, renovated to a very high standard, with many funky features and fantastic attention to detail. Just a stroll away from our friendly, foodie village pub, right on Offa’s Dyke path. It’s a special place, nestled in its own little corner of my garden, with an emphasis on luxury and lovely things. Transformed from my everyday potting shed, it’s now a spacious, warm and welcoming hideaway for two which I’m very proud of.
