Inside the home, you'll find a comfortable retreat complete with an indoor fireplace, kitchen with gas stovetop, fridge & day beds perfect for the ultimate relax and reset stay. We've also got a wood-fired sauna sitting on the large deck with a picturesque view of the Wombat State Forest. If you want to venture outside, there are walking tracks at your door stop.

The house is ideally located with an array of activities close by: Lake Eppalock 5 minutes away for all water activities. Heathcote Park Raceway is 15 minutes away and is a great venue for drag racing enthusiasts. The popular Axedale Golf Club is also 15 minutes away and is a fantastic course for the avid golfer. Down a country lane on the banks of Myrtle Creek and opposite the old red brick church, this completly private and self sufficient cottage attached to the main house is set in quiet paddocks where old red gums cast deep shade. Built in 2024 as an extension to our sustainable house, there is a stylish full kitchen and bathroom. A couple of Golden Retrievers are love and affection on legs and walks in the granite country are special. Or you can head to Bendigo, Castlemaine or local wineries

Unwind in this spacious two bedroom retreat. "The Hermitage" is a unique stone cottage just five minutes (4.5 km) from Castlemaine's town centre. Lovingly renovated to blend historic charm with modern comfort. Originally built during the gold rush of the 1850s, the cottage sits on 26 peaceful acres where kangaroos and horses graze nearby.
