A large wrap-around terrace looks out toward Volcán Barú and La Amistad Park. Hacienda Viva offers a setting to slow down and reconnect. Casa El Guarumo sits at the top of our 4-acre permaculture farm, situated between Parque Internacional La Amistad and the town of San Vito, Coto Brus. Come to reset and unwind. Adventure to nearby waterfalls and hot springs, hike the farm trails to the creek, or drift off in a hammock to the songs of the myriad of bird species that can be observed in our area.

Our peaceful and quiet “open concept” home is located in the southern Pacific mountains, 3,000 ft. up from pristine southern coast beaches to the west with the majestic Talamanca mountains to the east. Temperatures are ideal: daytime max in the 80’s, nighttime lows in the 60’s year round. A stunning view of the Pacific, including the amazing Osa peninsula is only a 10 minute walk up our road, the Rio Águila, where you can refresh in large swimming holes and massaging waterfalls, is 1 km away.

We are a destination, not just a place to sleep. We recommend children be at least 12 years old. This is not your "normal" vacation spot, you need a 4wd vehicle and plan to arrive during daylight hours. Look at the pictures and decide if this is your kind of adventure vacation! You can add friends by renting another bungalow.
