Quiet little house overlooking the park

You’ll love the tranquility, style and superb location of this cosy home away from home with incredible views and free parking. We welcome up to 2 well-trained dogs, and with front & back gardens and being right next door to a vast park, our home is ideal for walks in the local area. For those wishing to venture into Edinburgh, Gorebridge train station is a mere 10 minute walk away, as well as having an unrestricted car park. A 20 minute train journey brings you into the heart of the city.

This artist and architect-designed house is clad in larch and well insulated with wool felts. The access to the separate loft of our eco-house is via an external staircase. A large south facing window in the main room overlooks the woodland garden and Shiplaw burn. There is a workspace/single bedroom for an extra guest. We are located within one of the biggest habitat restoration projects in Europe and are five minutes walk from a regular bus service to Edinburgh and across the Borders.

Ideally located on the Railway walk and cycle route 196 to Glenkinchie Distillery , Carberry, Penicuik and surrounding areas. Built in the 1700s the Gardener's House is set into the old Walled Garden in the stunning grounds of Arniston House, a William Adam Stately Home. A secluded, picturesque two storey house with wood burning stove for winter or glass patio doors that open onto the walled garden for summer. An 11 mile trip to Edinburgh’s first class art galleries and museums, the capital’s eclectic mix of restaurants and bars plus its boutique shopping experience all adds up to a great day out.
