This spacious, self contained tree-top cabin with viewing deck is a bright and airy, naturally finished room sitting in the canopy at the base of Volcano Maderas. It is west facing, w views to Volcano Conception. Located just 10 minutes outside of Balgue and ten minutes from the trailhead to Maderas lagoon, this is a convenient 'jungle' setting. Breakfast fruits, juice and a coffee, WiFi, parking, travel assistance, advice + tours of our farm included- gratis. A true island adventure!

Small private bungalow with bathroom and kitchen. Two double beds with bedding and mosquito nets. A nice little terrace in front to the beach, and the garden and the forest behind. Autonomous solar system. Good internet connection (with CLARO SIM card) and unbeatable connection with nature. Excellent drinking water. We live in the quietest and most natural area of this beautiful island: Pure Caribbean! It is a 20 minute walk to the town. Our little restaurant is highly recommended.

Beautiful, small hotel deep in the extinct volcano crater nature retreat. Swim in the healing mineral waters, read, bird watch, listen to the howler monkeys, or practice yoga on one of two large terraces. Tropical gardens and fruit trees abound! Our bnb has four fabulous rooms. It offers space, nature, and peace. Massage available upon request. Healthy Nicaraguan breakfast, fresh water, and fruit are included. Our small restaurant serves fresh, local and organic vegetarian meals.

It's conveniently located just 15 minutes from town of Balgüe and ten minutes from the official Maderas trail-head. Relax in the hammocks and enjoy the sounds of nature in this and educational and immersive farm-stay.

La Poza Azul - Single Room

Private single room in an eco-built cabin, surrounded by jungle on Ometepe's most remote side. Sleep with a view on the lake alongside the monkeys, birds and other wildlife. Breakfast for one included. We run a small intercultural centre onsite where you can take or give a class, workshop or talk on a variety of topics with the local community and fellow travellers.
