The Alpine Den Is perfect for all occasions, from a romantic getaway to a family retreat. Located in an old growth forest near the Salmon River, nestled under a canopy of Firs and Cedars. The cabin sits on a picturesque half acre lot, minutes away from great restaurants, markets, golf course, biking and amazing hiking trails. **New! Check out our other property reviews!** Small & cozy cabin in the woods. Short walk to Zig Zag river. Well equipped to make you feel comfortable & a little spoiled. OUTDOORS IS STILL A WORK IN PROGRESS! Do to all the late season snow, the exterior paint, paths & patio will be completed in May. 2 outdoor fire pits and BBQ. Sleeping 6 will be VERY cozy, limited private sleeping areas. Queen bed in upstairs bedroom, Q bed downstairs in open bed cubby, and Q sleeper sofa.

Historic Steiner log cabin on Mt Hood

Stay in one of the most charming vintage cabins on Mt. Hood, hand-built in 1930 by Oregon's famous cabin builder, Henry Steiner. Experience authentic cabin life as you cozy up with blanket and book by the fire, cook delicious meals, or fall asleep to the soft patter of rain on the roof. This one-of-a-kind cabin is truly a historic treasure. Every detail has been lovingly restored, featuring beautiful log walls, sleeping loft, clawfoot tub, and stone fireplace.

The Bear's Den, studio with kitchen and pond/creek

Our wonderful guest house is a cozy studio with a queen bed, kitchen, sofa, and dining table in one large room. There is a bathroom with shower. This is a second floor apartment over the detached garage, we live in the main house next door. The property is very secluded well off the road with no other houses nearby and borders the National Forest. Enjoy the spring fed pond in the front yard, a hike along the Sandy river, or a 15 min drive to ski resorts.

Niksen House: Scandanvian style Cabin at Mt. Hood

*water pressure issue has been fixed! Niksen House is located just outside of Mt. Hood National Forest, 20 minutes from ski areas and an hour from Portland. The cabin is in a rural residential community and sits next to a 1/2 acre lot giving it an off-the-grid feel with all of the on-the-grid amenities. Located near The Resort at the Mountain, you're only 20 miles to Timberline Lodge and all of Mt. Hood's splendor. The Upper and Lower Salmon River Trailheads are just up the road, and a multitude of other hiking opportunities nearby.
