Welcome to our rustic cabin with mountain top views at an elevation of 4,000ft. The cabin is located between Franklin and the Highlands/Cashiers area. There is an abundance of waterfalls/ hiking trails nearby along with the local favorite, gem mining. Brookside Cottage

Brookside cottage is newly renovated and surrounded by forest in the mountains of western North Carolina. A mountain stream descends in front of the cottage providing an restful water feature. Located in Transylvania county between Brevard and Cashiers, the area is named the “Land of Waterfalls”. Supplies (food, drink, etc.) are available 2 miles from cottage. Caution to low riding cars/sports cars: the last half mile to this cottage is a gravel road and must ford a small stream.

Speckled Trout on the Tuck (Tuckasegee River)

Nearly new Park Model Cabin located on the banks of the Tuckasegee River, one of the best trout streams in NC! There is an easy access off Hwy. 107 S, about 5 miles from Cullowhee. It is close to many parks for hikiing and biking and lakes for boating and fishing. It has an all wood interior with a screened porch, picnic table , fire pit and charcoal grill. There is a nice walkway down to the river. Enjoy fishing, swimming and boating at this nice escape!
