Located on Mount Desert Islands, "Quietside". The cottage features high ceilings and an open floor plan, with a small deck looking into the woods The walls are decorated with original art work by the owner. Our location is central to the island, situated just outside the village of Somesville; 15 minutes to Bar Harbor, 10 minutes to Southwest Harbor by car. Hiking and swimming opportunities are just 5 minutes away by car. The Arthaus is not suitable for pets, despite our love for them.

We are centrally located - a short drive from Acadia National Park, the villages of Mount Desert Island, Indian Point Blagden Preserve, Kebo Valley golf course, Long Pond, Echo Lake, Pirate's Cove mini-golf, as well as several restaurants featuring fresh seafood and locally brewed beer and wine. It’s close to several Acadia National Park access points (Long Pond and Echo Lake are both within a 5 minute drive). This home offers extra wide doorways accomodating those with mobility issues.

**House is located on Northeast Harbor, not Mount Desert.** **Entire property, (inside and out) is NO SMOKING. Smoking on the patios is NOT ALLOWED.** **The backyard is NOT part of this listing. There is no direct access.** **Summer reservations are Sat-Sat only. June 20-Labor Day, 2026. If close to the dates shorter reservations will be considered.** *Dogs are welcome with pre-approval only and incur a $50/night/dog. Parties not acquiring pre-approval are subject to a $500 fine
