An idyllic countryside retreat in an old Montenegro peasant stone house, surrounded by grapevines, pomegranates, quince and fig trees, and with a great view on the mountains. This is a perfect hideaway from city hustle and traffic noise. As a mountaineering guide and former diplomat, I will be happy to welcome visitors from all corners of our world, share memories of my old family house and history of Montenegro, assist them in planning and organizing their tours in our beautiful country.

Salty Village

Our Salty Cabin lies in the village of Zoganje (Zogaj), surrounded by an olive grove counting over three hundred trees. Located nearby are Salina salt pans, a salt factory-turned-bird park where both silence and sounds of nature such as birds chirp and frog “ribbit” can be experienced and enjoyed. Location is perfect for enjoying birdwatching and getting to know around half of the European bird species. Out of 500 species, around 250 can be seen flying over, or around, the Salty Cabin.

Mitten in der pittoresken Altstadt des Welterbes Kotor liegt dieses Juwel von einer Wohnung. 54 Stufen müssen erklommen werden aber dafür wird man mit einem unvergesslichen Ausblick über die Dächer von Kotor, die umliegenden Berge und den Fjord mehr als belohnt. Ganz zu schweigen von der Terrasse vor der Wohnung mit panoramischem Blick über die Dächern der Altstadt.
