Aptus Hook n Horn Ranch

This mini lodge nestled on the banks of the Mineral Fork Stream is perfect for a couples romantic escape or friends-cation. The privacy & beauty that comes along with a stay at this historic working ranch is easy to fall in love with and offers a taste of seclusion with a touch of civilization. Whether it’s enjoying a drink on the covered porch which sits within view of the 1800’s huge rock constructed historic smelter or listening to the swoonworthy babbling stream & relaxing by the fire-pit.

Hand Built Log Cabin

This cabin was completed in 1940 by previous owner's grandmother with only the help of her horses. The wood was cut from the property. Originally it had no electric or plumbing, we updated it more in 2021 keeping as much original as possible. Rustic cabin has 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom with walk-in shower only, washer and dryer, full eat in kitchen and living room. On site you can relax watching horses, mini horses, goats, chickens & ducks as well as wild life. You can feed and pet the 🐐 goats.

Now operating as Edg-Clif Winery and Brewery, you can walk to the tasting room or hike to the river and Pine Grove. It is 6 miles from Potosi and 1.5 hours from St Louis. Troutlodge YMCA and Sunnen Lake, Huzzah, Courtois, Big River and Meramec Rivers are nearby, the Berryman trail is also close.
