Te Mahuru Retreat is made up of a lodge with four single suites and one two-bedroom suite. Each suite has its own private bathroom, mountain views and private garden access. Each of the suites share a full kitchen, living room and dinning room in the lodge and BBQ and entertaining area. There is also a two bedroom self-contained cottage with its own private gardens, stunning views and BBQ. There is free access 24hr access to one private & one shared hot tub, both with fabulous mountain views

This cottage is the original School House alongside the now retired Woodbank School at Clarence. Situated in the beautiful Clarence Valley 30 minutes north up the Kaikoura coast . Great walks, Biking, mountain bike Park at Middle Hill, Raft the Clarence River, fish at the river mouth, swim or surf on the coast, 20 minutes to The Store at Kekerengu, or the numerous cafes in Kaikoura. View the seals at colony 10 minutes down the coast...Or you can sit back and read a book and listen to the birds.

Set away from the main homestead, you can enjoy your own privacy whilst taking in the stunning views over our vineyard and olive grove, and further across both the Richmond ranges and Wither Hills. You are welcome to walk around the property which include ponds and wetlands. Find a shady spot for a picnic by the stream.

Birch Hill Cottage is the original Head Shearer’s Cottage from c1900. It has been fully renovated & is a wonderful spot to come completely relax. We have planted 100's of trees and are working on establishing a garden paradise over the 13 years we have owned the property. We are continuously upgrading the cottages & land. RIVERBANK COTTAGE AWAITS YOU. Riverbank cottage was originally the lean-to off the main homestead. In 2002 we moved it across the garden rebuilt it and lived there happily while the homestead was renovated. The cottage faces northeast overlooking our vineyard towards the Richmond ranges. It is within a stones throw of the Wairau River.
