Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. Close enough to Picton and Waikawa Bay yet far enough away to feel you are a long way from both. Perfect environment for peace and quiet, but also perfect central spot to explore Marlborough. Ample space for children and animals to play. Plenty of parking space, including a boat. Woodbank Schoolhouse, Clarence, Kaikoura Coast

This cottage is the original School House alongside the now retired Woodbank School at Clarence. Situated in the beautiful Clarence Valley 30 minutes north up the Kaikoura coast . Great walks, Biking, mountain bike Park at Middle Hill, Raft the Clarence River, fish at the river mouth, swim or surf on the coast, 20 minutes to The Store at Kekerengu, or the numerous cafes in Kaikoura. View the seals at colony 10 minutes down the coast...Or you can sit back and read a book and listen to the birds.

Our Kayaks for your use, & our shoreline deck are a 2 minute walk down to the beach. A great spot to relax in the sun. Outdoor BBQ area and spa pool sets the scene for your relaxing break away. Modern architectural kiwi bach nestled on the edge of a tidal lagoon between Ligar Bay and Tata Beach. The Bach is a compact 55sqm with a large sheltered and covered deck with all day sun. A master bedroom links on to a compact lounge & ensuite bathroom, dining & kitchen area from either side all with full views of the water & lagoon. There is a seperate sleeping pod with a Queen size bed 2 metres from main dwelling for an extra 2 guests. Amazing second Hot outdoor shower under the trees.

The views are sensational of Waikawa Bay .Enjoy the local sealife from the deck- resident rays seals fish and even the occasional dolphin. Great spot for a sunset bevy and taking a swim from. Totally pet friendly. Use of a double kayak and life jackets available to guests.

Stunning views over to the village of Havelock and beyond to the breathtaking Pelorus Sounds and decorated with a stylish Pacific vibe. Watch the boats come and go from the marina and relax on the deck or balcony. The water is tidal so at high tide the water laps at the property boundary. At low tide there are expansive mud flats. The view is constantly changing with lots of bird life. It is north west facing so we get the most beautiful sunsets.

Rest & Relax

Rest and relax in your sunny private riverside studio apartment or explore the close vineyards that surround us and the beautiful Marlborough Sounds. The studio accommodates up to 4 people and is located in Renwick a 5 minute drive away from Blenheim Airport and 30 minutes drive to the Picton Ferry. A minimum stay for 2 nights is requested. However we can arrange for a one night stay for $20 more if you reach out to us.
