We’re minutes away from Inverness, Cabot Links & the most beautiful beaches on our island This unit sleeps 6 comfortably but has the option to sleep an additional 2 on sofabeds if sharing a smaller space is not a concern We’re the perfect last stop when travelling the Cabot Trail from East to the West side of the island & we’re only a short drive to the mainland when leaving or if you prefer to start your Cape Breton adventure travelling up the west coast we are on your way to the Cabot Trail

The old trail cabin.

Situated on a hillside overlooking the historic St. Ann’s bay, the Old Trail cabin is conveniently located just 5.5km from the start of the Cabot trail and the Gaelic College. A great spot to start or finish your Cabot Trail adventures! The cabin is designed to feel as open and airy as possible for a small space. The bedroom has a queen bed and the loft has a single bed. Kitchenette has coffee maker, toaster, mini fridge and microwave. All amenities needed are only 15 mins away in Baddeck.

Off-grid riverfront guesthouse

This is a special riverfront setting directly on the Cabot Trail. Use it as your launching point for Cape Breton adventures of beaches, waterfalls and hiking. Wake up to birds chirping as you sip on your coffee in a cozy timber frame cottage overlooking the banks of the Margaree River. Our property, along with the guesthouse is completely off-grid and 100% powered by solar. There’s pathway to the river for swimming and kayaking. Access to wood fired sauna and outdoor shower to cool off.

Wild Rose Cottage

This cottage is centrally located between Baddeck, Inverness and Cheticamp. It is approximately 30 min each way. It features a lovely, large back yard with firepit area and mountain views. The Portree bridge is a short walk down the road, which is a popular swimming spot. The river runs along the opposite side of the road. There are lots of local beaches, hiking trails and golf courses in the area. The property also has direct access to the highland snowmobile/atv trails.

Glamping off the Beaton Path (AD #2)

Glamping is a form of camping involving accommodation and facilities more luxurious than those associated with traditional camping. Communal washrooms and a shower are located in a separate building; there is also an area for washing dishes. The facility is off the power grid, so solar power is used for lightning. Welcome to this 2-bedrooom ocean-side, vacation home packed full of modern-day comforts and located within 5 minutes drive of the restaurants, shops and fisherman's dock of the Acadian village of Cheticamp. Enjoy stunning views of the Atlantic ocean, Cape Breton's rugged coastline and spectacular sunsets from every room. Kindly note that children must be 8 years or older to stay, pets are not permitted and maximum occupancy is 4 persons.

With a double bed on the main level, and a loft with a double bed, this tiny house comfortably sleeps 4. This tiny house offers a fully appointed spacious kitchen, a 3 piece bathroom including a flush toilet, as well as Wifi, smart TV, a wood stove, in-floor heating and AC. Kayaks & SUP’s, BBQ shelter use are included with your stay.

This one bedroom cottage is located in Margaree Centre. Our four, full housekeeping cottages sit along the Margaree River, just minutes from the Cabot Trail. Cottage 3 has been recently renovated inside and out. New bathroom, upgraded kitchen, and a queen bed with a luxury Logan & Cove mattress. The cottage also has a sofa bed in the living area for extra sleeping space. Check in is anytime after 3pm. Check out is 11am.
