The Cabin

We have two self-catering accommodations, The Cabin and The Gate Lodge, located within the grounds of our 1700s farmhouse, Kildrum Cottage, just outside the historic twin villages of Kells and Connor, County Antrim. While we are situated in a semi-rural area, the property is only 4 miles to the nearest major towns. This makes it a central location for visiting the North Coast, Glens of Antrim and Belfast tourist attractions, all approximately 30-40 minutes drive. Both are Tourism NI approved.

You won’t forget the peaceful surroundings of this rustic destination. Set in the Mid Ulster area, central to all of N. Irelands favourite tourist destinations, with the Sperrin mountains in the distance. The cabin is situated at our home and small self funded vegan/vegetarian sanctuary on a hill, nestled in its own small wild nature garden and developing food forest of fruit, nuts and wild edibles. We have developed our whole site into a track system or otherwise known as Paradise paddock. Meet some of our rescue animals. Sit by the campfire and enjoy the views of the surrounding countryside. It's a great place to enjoy the peace and quiet of the Irish Midlands and surrounding counties.

Two bedrooms, main bedroom has double bed, second bedroom has a bunk bed which sleeps three. All weather decking seating area outside.

Here at Rafferty's Donkey farm you can get the opportunity to interact with our donkeys and go for treks and enjoy the countryside. This is an “Adult only”establishment and we provide running water, a toilet & a hot shower. As this is a daily working farm, it’s important that the appropriate footwear is worn for the Donkey treks.
