Take a boat, or walk to Torno to find a bar, cafe, shop, and restaurants. Como is a short drive, and public transport is close by. Alternativa piacevole al trasporto pubblico tradizionale può essere l'uso dei battelli della navigazione del Lago di Como, con partenza da Piazza Cavour in direzione Torno, da dove camminando per circa 15 min raggiungerete la destinazione. It can be reached by public transport: buses C30 C31 C32 departing approximately every hour from the Como San Giovanni railway station, Como Lago Ferrovie Nord or from Piazza Matteotti towards Como-Bellagio, take about 8 minutes to reach the Blevio stop - Decorations Savio, about 100 m away from the house. A pleasant alternative to traditional public transport may be the use of Lake Como navigation boats, departing from Piazza Cavour in the direction of Torno, from where walking for about 15 minutes you will reach the destination. I ALLOW ME TO STRONGLY RECOMMEND THE SMALLEST AND CHEAPEST CAR, TO MOVE INDEPENDENTLY, AS IN OUR AREA PUBLIC TRANSPORT AND TAXIS ARE NOT COFORTABLE Villa Pasta The villa was built in the early XIX cen- tury and was bought in 1830 by the famous opera singer Giuditta Pasta hosting space for its several guests. In the park the fol lowing built: the studio painting of Clelia, Giuditta's daughter, who attended the Brera Academy in Milan; the cafe-house, a small cave to cool in the summer; the wooden theater where Giuditta practised singing. Captain Wilhelm Locke, grandson of the famous philosopher, drowned in front of his wife and other guests in the lake area in front of the villa. Later his daughter erected a gravestone in his memory. In the small ceme- tery of Blevio it is possible to visit the grave of Giuditta Pasta who died in 1865.

Surrounded by nature, HOUSE POADA is located in a panoramic position at about 400 metres above sea level, in the territory of Mandello del Lario, a charming town on Lake Como, on the bank of the Lecco branch. It offers stunning views of our beautiful lake and loved “Grigne”. It provides a peaceful heaven for those who love nature and tranquillity: you can choose between a wide selection of experiences for relaxation, sport, culture, food and adventure in a unique scenario. The house is located directly on the "Sentiero del Viandante" (Path of the Wanderer), an ancient passageway that used to connect Milan to Switzerland. Nowadays, the trail climbs from Abbadia Lariana , to then enter to the foot of the Valtellina. It has a total length of about 45 km and therefore it has to be organized in stages; depending on the level of training, the course is divided up into 3 or 4 stages. Due to the frequent intersections with the railway line Lecco-Colico, you can complete one stage at time, returning by train to the starting point. The modest height and the excellent exposure of the path make the route crossable in every season. Moreover, you can find many other hiking trails all over the place. The residence is easily accessible by car, going through 500 meters of private road surrounded by greenery, starting from Somana, a picturesque hamlet of Mandello del Lario. Here you will find a welcoming home, hospitality, love for nature, history and traditions of our land, the passion for sports and mountains, as well as the desire to socialize with new people. The farm, recently renovated, is mainly dedicated to the production of oil, thanks to the hundreds of olive trees planted here. They are ideally located on the slopes of the hills: the climate and the favourable nature of the soil allow us to produce high-quality oil appreciated in Italy and abroad.
