Within walking distance is both Sharsted Wood and Doddington Place Gardens which are great for exploring, plus our local pubs - The Black Lion and The Chequers Inn which are perfect for a spot of lunch or a dinner reservation.

There are many National Trust properties within a small radius together with historic gardens and local vineyards. Tenterden and Rye are a short drive and Camber Sands, with its sandy beach, is a must. There are a number of local pubs which serve food, The White Hart within a few minutes walk, and many others not far away.

Wadhurst our nearest village has 2 small supermarkets, a fantastic butcher, deli, 2 pubs and takeaways.

Use of a large bell tent can also be included for an additional fee.

Birch cottage is a beautiful holiday home with private wood fired hot tub. All nestled at the foot of the North Downs in a small village called Harrietsham. We are known for our outstanding views, abundant wildlife and fantastic walks. We are located on a smallholding with alpacas, pigs, sheep called Boo and Bam, goose called Meggi.
