The Saddlery Cottage

Beautiful converted cottage in the grounds of an historic Victorian country house in rural Wales. Wood-burning stove, Wi-Fi, stunning views of the Black Mountains. Perfect for walkers, cyclists, garden-lovers, or horse-riders of all ages. Just 450 yards on a private drive through the estate from a barn which sleeps 8 (see 'Eco-Barn in the Brecon Beacons'). Ideal also for larger gatherings. Dogs welcome; a maximum of two permitted. The cottage is located on a 19th century country house estate of about 10 acres of gardens, lawns and woods. There are three bedrooms - a double ensuite on the ground floor, and two upstairs bedrooms (two doubles, one can be made up as twin beds) that share a large bathroom. A double-height kitchen and an open plan living/dining area with a banquette, a woodburning stove, two large comfy sofas and fabulous views. One side of the cottage looks onto a cobbled stable yard, and the other onto its own garden, then beyond that parkland, Llangorse Lake and the Black Mountains. Fabulous restaurants and farm shops are within a short drive as well as the lake, with boating facilities, beautiful walks out of your front door, and great biking trails. An all-around perfect location for a peaceful holiday in rural Wales. The cottage has its own entrance and parking, also its own garden with a table and chairs. Guests are welcome to explore the grounds of Treberfydd House, and are free to bring up to two pets. My husband and I and our family live a couple of minutes' walk from the Saddlery, and are available to help with any questions guests may have. Completely rural idyll - Perfect for those who want to escape the city and drink in the joys of the countryside. You would need a car to get around. Wellies are recommended, and good walking gear advisable for the hills. Booking is normally for a minimum of three nights. Between November and and March we offer a special rate for a Friday + Saturday booking with a late checkout of 4.30pm on Sunday. Please contact us for details. The Old Salting Barn dates back to the 17th Century & forms part of a charming range of old farm buildings at Llandetty Hall Farm, situated in the heart of the stunningly beautiful Brecon Beacons National Park. Set in 15 acres of private pasture on the Mon Brec canal & between the villages of Talybont on Usk & Llangynidr. The barn boasts a log burner & use of the adjacent communal games barn. It uses electricity created by our solar panels & is heated by our new & efficient heat pump system.

Aber Farm Shepherd's Hut (Tor y Foel)

Get in amongst the hills, reservoirs and fields of the Brecon Beacons National Park. Talybont on Usk is a 15 minute walk away for great pubs, bike rental and a small village shop. Get back to basics. Kick off your walking boots, light the fire, relax. Watch stars and sheep and escape from it all. Our rustic cabin makes a perfect retreat for couples or individuals looking for somewhere unique. The hut gets it's name from the hill that dominates the view from the porch seat - Tor y foel.

Hafod y Llyn

Hafod y Llyn is located in the 19th-century stable yard at Treberfydd House. Formerly the stables, it is now a peaceful, stylish and newly redecorated two-bedroom cottage with uninterrupted views across parkland, where sheep graze or wildflowers grow, depending on the season. Located in an International Dark Sky reserve, and a short walk from Llangorse lake, this is a special setting and an ideal base from which to explore the Bannau Brycheiniog national park and the Black Mountains.
