Our loft also has a beautiful chef’s kitchen where you can prepare home cooked meals if you like to cook or is in walking distance to several great places to eat if you want someone to do the cooking for you.

King's Guest Ranch Vacation Heaven

Our ranch is close to Theodore Roosevelt National Park, Medora, Medora Musical, Maah Daah Hey trail and restaurants. We offer a different experience than you will get it Medora. The ranch is a peaceful retreat while being an easy 8 mile drive from town. Guests routinely tell us the ranch rivals the national park for scenery and its right out their door. An added bonus, the drive to town is spectacular. If you need Wifi we have free Wifi in our guest lounge in our garage.

Lone Butte Ranch-Horseshoe Cabin

The Horseshoe Cabin was built in 2001. This log cabin is one of 3 cabins located on our working cattle ranch. We are located in the heart of the Badlands, only 14 miles south of the Theodore Roosevelt National Park, North Unit, and 65 miles north of the TRNP South Unit. We have miles of hiking trails or riding trails if you prefer to bring your horses. This secluded cabin has it's own private hot tub and all your modern amenities but still has that rustic feel.

The log cabin is located in an isolated area of the North Dakota Badlands, about halfway between the North and South Units of Theodore Roosevelt National Park. Rustic on the outside but modern on the inside, the cabin is decorated in traditional western decor (including extensive animal mounts). This is a cozy cabin ideal for guests wanting to visit the North and South units of Theadore Roosevelt National Park and Historic Medora. It is located in the middle between both units of the park. The cabin has easy access off of highway 85. It is ideal for a couple wanting a base camp for the National Parks, Mah Dah Hey Trail, Enchanted Highway and National Grasslands.
