There is a Harris Tweed mill in the village. There are lots of lovely sandy beaches near the cottage, one within a 10 to 15 minute walk depending on your ability. The cottage is situated in the beautiful Bays area of Harris - full of local wildlife. It's a great base to explore Harris from - an easy, beautiful drive to the West Coast - or up to North Harris and beyond. But it's also a terrifically tranquil cottage with large garden and beautiful views if you just want to relax for a day or two instead in-between explorations.

Aird Cottage

A lovely cottage situated 10 miles out of the main town of Stornoway, in a quiet village with wonderful sea views. You can enjoy your morning coffee on the deck overlooking the sea and cosy up in the evening beside the wood burning stove. Perfect for a couple getaway. Having your own car would be ideal but regular public transport is available on your doorstep.
