Fish, canoe, swim, explore woods and lakes. Spend your time here or use as basecamp for backcountry trips. See deer, eagles, loons, moose, bear, or hear a wolf howl in the distance. LED lanterns, propane cookstoves and refrigeration, get water from lake, or nearby well. Life on the edge.

Grandpa's Cabin is the perfect lakeside retreat, offering ample space for trailers and trucks. A public boat launch literally right next to the driveway, you can launch your boat for a week of fishing, cruising or tubing any day of the summer. In the winter use the ice road to take your snowmobile right onto the lake trails or drive down the plowed ice road to one of Vermilions best ice fishing spots. With many other trails and golf courses near by this is a year round outdoor paradise.

Thunder rolls overhead during summer storms, and snow falls softly outside in winter—while you stay cozy inside, feeling completely connected to nature. It’s truly a romantic place to stay.

The Wandering Moose -Cabin Getaway, with Sauna!

This cabin was built for family gatherings and a recreational retreat and has been in the family for years. We offer a place to sleep 4 with a pull-out couch, full kitchen, bar area, dining table and a small bathroom with a shower and sink. We also have an outside hydrant to rinse off your equipment or clean your fish and game. Be on the lookout for Moose, Deer, Bear, Fox, Grouse, and many of birds and listen for an occasional Timber Wolf in the night. Trailer parking is onsite.

Homey cabin perfect for couples and small families who love the outdoors. Sitting less than 50 feet from Farm Lake, the cabin connects to over a million acres of pristine boundary waters lakes, rivers, and streams. Easy access to the beach gives our guests unlimited opportunities to fish and indulge in water sports. Rates include all applicable state and local taxes, lodging fees, etc. Rates do NOT include rentals, pet fees, docking fees, or other ancillary charges.

Rustic cabin -Pontoon Available for Rent-

The cabin is located on 3 acres with two other cabins that are rentals and a home that we live in. There are three large docks with boat parking and power. It is about 25 steps down to the lake, we do not recommend staying here if you have mobility issues. There is a private fire pit just for this cabin as well as a shared fire pit at the beach. The cabin is almost 100 years old and rustic. We have made many updates such as the kitchen, bath, electric, etc.
