Griffin - The Lake Superior Riverboat

The Griffin is a functioning riverboat, driven by paddle wheels, originally modeled after historic Mississippi steamboats. It is located at a mom and pop boat yard, which is quite different from a fancy marina. Work happens here. Metal is welded here. Engines are torn apart and put back together here. Located 25 minutes north of Marquette, our yurt is simple and rustic without electricity and a woodstove is the only heat source. We provide bedding, water in buckets, a simple kitchen, a battery pack for string lights, and a sauna for warming the bones. We encourage and cater to silent-sport type of guests as we have kind and close neighbors on all sides. The Järvi cabin is one of the brand new cabins on the lake at Stay Boreal between Lutsen and Tofte. Featuring full frontal glass overlooking the lake, heated floors, a patio space with a gas firebowl, free level 2 EV charging and even a treehouse sauna. We can't wait to share it with you! This cabin comfortably suits two with a capacity of up to four (1 king bed and 1 murphy style queen bed). It has a smaller, cozy layout.
